  1. Ok. Now I know what's been going on...Just had two white vans pull up outside my house and two parcels from 23rd Nov delivered. Asked delivery guy where he was delivering parcels from and he replied: Nine elms, so they are not even getting to Sylvester road. I asked him why parcels had taken so long, he said 'strike', so I guess it's due to wildcat strikes at nine elms, if your parcel happens to go through that depot when they decide they are having a strike, the parcels take ages. So stop hassling the guys at Sylvester Road, it's the nine elms one you want!
  2. Looks like there is an issue regarding things posted on 23rd Nov (my parcel included) I have visions of an evr increasing mountain of parcels with the mail from the 23rd right at the bottom....
  3. Still no sign of my parcel from play (worth ?140) I think someone has effectively stolen my son's christmas present and I can't afford to order a replacement, I am beginning to get worried...item posted by play on 20th November. What the hell is going on Royal Mail, surely this is illegal....
  4. I am having continual problems with parcel deliveries. I had an order dispatched from 'Play' 12 days ago and it has not arrived. It contains my son's christmas present. Play won't even look into it until 21 days have passed and by then there will be no time to order another one. I'm not sure where the parcels come from before Sylvester Road, but I think that maybe where the issues lie. I have been having problems with parcel deliveries since September.
  5. I had the same problem with my son and it was still going on at 4.5 years. Apparently if the child sleeps very deeply their brain cannot recognize the signal that the bladder is full. 3.5 years is still quite young but if your child is still having problems 1 year from now I would really recommend the DRI Sleeper Alarm (search Dri sleeper), I am the most sceptical person you can imagine but I bought this and followed the instructions to the letter and it worked! I truly believe that had it not been for this alarm I may still be having bedwetting problems with my son now.
  6. As a loyal customer of Amazon for many years I have now had to inform them that I will no longer buy from them whilst they continue to use Royal Mail to deliver their parcels. Parcels are simply not getting to me, I have been waiting for one for about five weeks now. Amazon have kindly refunded me for the last two parcels but I feel it is unfair to continue to order from them and expect them to do this when Royal Mail are effectively 'stealing' the goods.
  7. Is it me or has our Postal System become a complete farce. I have got two Amazon parcels that I have been waiting for, for nearly a month now. I no longer buy first class stamps because I feel that is paying extra for a service that you don't actually get. If this were any other service there would be uproar, Where's OUR stuff Royal Mail?
  8. Went to Boho Bar earlier this evening and had the Sushi, it was fantastically fresh and really good. The staff were really friendly. Really enjoyable experience ( and no, I don't work there etc, etc...) This is a genuine recommendation.
  9. Dear KBN, I suffered a traumatic birth with my son, which resulting in him being very unsettled and colicky. I took him for CO twice and found that it definetly calmed him right down, both during the procedure and for several days afterwards. I only wish I had been able to afford to take him on a weekly basis because it really seemed to work (I am usually quite sceptical about this kind of thing) I hope you and your new daughter find things get easier over the next few weeks. I found the following website really helpful...birthtraumaassociation.org all the best x
  10. I agree with Lizziedjangoes post. I am frequently overcharged in Sainsburys on items that are supposedly on offer and are ticketed as such, but the price reduction has not been programmed in on the till. The displays are also often misleading making shoppers think items are part of a 2 for ?5 deal (for example) when they are not and the full price is charged. Also SimonM has a good point about the isles always being blocked with replenishment trolleys, not sure of the solution to this though as I imagine they have to replenish continually, what with it being a busy store. I would like to say that I generally find the checkout staff to be polite and friendly. Well done Unkle Paulie for arranging a meeting with the manager, nice to see someone bothered enough to take the time, these supermarkets get away with too much!
  11. I was wondering if my Ocado delivery will arrive. Has anyone out there got a delivery from them on this snowy day?
  12. Is it just me or is there a major mouse infestation in Dulwich? I know of so many people who have mice in this area, mainly those living in the Victorian Terraces that are so common around here. Was wondering if anyone knows why this may be, could it be due to environmental changes, or have these old buildings always had mice? Luckily I have a cat, so am mice free (with the exception of the odd present from my Moggie!)
