  1. Hi there If any one has had a motorbike/ scooter stolen this morning (Friday) I might be able to help. At 10.15ish this morning I saw a man on a motorbike driving all over the place without a helmet and trying to make a call at the same time on Crawthew/ spurling Road. It just looked very suspicious and he then stopped at the goose green end of spurling road and I took a picture. I think the motorbike wax blue but not entirely sure. Please get in touch if this is of any help.
  2. Some no have added security around the kick but if you have an angle grinder then you could get in!
  3. Just by way of an update the D lock was cut off using an angle grinder so someone targeting the local area and more locked bikes being reported as stolen. maria Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just to say they aren't that safe and my partners > bike was stolen from the one on Crawthew Grove > near the Bishop. Lock busted plus bike D locked!
  4. Im sorry to hear this they are obviously targeting the area. Its not just the bike hangers though as the culprits are using a portable angle grinder to remove any D locks so no bike is really safe even if locked!
  5. We have further investigated this and have found part of the D lock - most of it was removed clearly as they dont want us to find out how they are getting the D locks off. This was a level 4 lock and no 5 is the most secure one apparently.Anyway it was cut with a cordless angle grinder - so some is very organised and just means no bike is safe even when locked. Bikes are becoming a valuable commodity. My partner is also a nurse and has been using her bike and cycling for safe exercise and stress relief during this difficult time so really feeling its loss
  6. Lock on hanger was forced and now broken so wasnt just left open!
  7. Covered by house insurance but still have to pay the initial ?100.
  8. There seems to be several reports of breakins to these hangers locally so clearly not that safe but also to break a heavy duty D lock means someone quite professional!
  9. My partners bike was stolen yesterday from the bike hanger along Crawthew Grove near the Bishop Pub yesterday. The lock on the bike hanger has been forced and the bike was also D locked - so person who stole it was very organised. It was a Women's silver Specialized bike - so if anyone saw anything let me know. There are other bikes still in there and I have reported this to Cycle Hoop who manage it.
  10. Cycle hoop take the money and council subsidise it.
  11. Just to say they aren't that safe and my partners bike was stolen from the one on Crawthew Grove near the Bishop. Lock busted plus bike D locked!
  12. I?m happy to drop off anything for you if you PM me. Maria
  13. HI there, can you also do internet/ phone wiring? Let me know thanks Maria
  14. Another attempted Vespa theft in spurring road on Thursday night it was well chained and secured but they have damaged it so now doesn't start. Be warned.
  15. Don't give up hope. We lost squiggly for almost 6 weeks last time and she was only found thanks to the good folk on east Dulwich. Maria
  16. Squiggly came home at 4am this morning Phew. Only a3 day adventure!
  17. George was a very special handsome chap and was even part of our cats gang despite the odd hiss. We will all miss him lots. I did pop round Rob/Katie to say how sorry I was and was only on the forum as Squiggly wasn't around this morning so getting worried! Maria,Helen, Charlie and Squiggly.
  18. I'm so very sorry to hear this he was s very special cat. Maria x
  19. Glad the stickers were appreciated as all too often lost cat posters disappear and you never know what happened and so many lovely people helped us in our search. Squiggly is doing well and gradually putting on weight and getting her confidence back. We will be letting her reuse the cat flap and go outside properly again this week. Plus she is now micro chipped - just incase! Her brother Charlie is very happy to have her home. Maria
  20. Thanks. She was trapped in a unused flat upstairs from Franco Manco so skinny, bit traumatised but well. She was only about 25 metres away all this time and must have heard us calling her every day! Thanks to Umberto a member of staff who heard her last night!
  21. We are over the moon! After over a month we have found Squiggly. Many thanks to the team and especially Umberto at Franco Manco who found her. Thanks to everyone who contacted us with potential sitings. We love our neighbourhood! Thanks again.
  22. Thanks ever so much. I didn't actually see the cat as was at work so pleased you have moved it and it's owners will know. Thank you.
  23. A black cat has been found this morning by the roadside on East Dulwich Grove close to the corner of Townley Road on the left hand side going towards Herne Hill. I dont suppose it will be there long so if you are missing a black cat then contact the council. Thanks to the people who got in touch thinking it was Squiggly re other posting re small all black female cat missing but it wasn't her. I am so very sorry if this is your cat. Maria
  24. Just to say we are still looking for Squiggly and thanks again to everyone who has helped so far. Maria
  25. Alas it wasn't squiggly so we are still on the look for her but reassured by the fact that the folk of east Dulwich are so responsive. Thank you. Just to be clear. Squiggly really is all black with no white on at all. Thanks again for everyone's help so far.
