I've been going to the Monday one with my now four month and have really enjoyed it too. It is currently not on as summer holidays and they mentioned they might cancel the Monday one. I'm hoping not as the timing of the Mondays is better for when my toddler goes to preschool. If any of you are interested in going on Mondays let Push know and they might keep it on.

Hi,just wanted to ask what everyone does in regard to putting names into clothing and things like bags/beakers etc for preschool? My son starts in September at one of the local schools and will have a uniform. Did you just get sew in material labels for the clothes and stick name labels on the items? They sell the labels quite cheaply on amazon so was thinking of getting a bulk load although realistically I think we only need a few. Are you meant to go label crazy? No panic, just wondered.

Anything on for toddlers this wet morning?
Katiesa replied to Katiesa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks...going to stay local I think though, as in in E.D -
Hi, just wondered if anyone knows of something on, probably inside, this morning? Have a three year old and baby. Thanks.

Great to see all of you who made it today and for all the kids to play together. I think meeting up now makes it all a bit less daunting for us and them! A few of us were saying, when some of you had left, that it would be nice to do another meetup before they start. I know there were quite a few of you about to go on holiday so how about leaving it a few weeks and doing another Peckhma rye park meetup. How about Wednesday the 21stAugust? We could do the picnic, doggy free area in Peckham rye park say from 11am and bring blankets and picnic bits so we don't have to worry about their lunch. I'm completely easy on dates so happy for other suggestions if that doesn't work. Katie x

Hi, sorry to copy the title of another post further down but as that was for afternoons I wondered if anyone whose child is going to Heber in the mornings would like to meet up so our kids can get to know each other a bit. We could do the same as the afternoon group and meet at Peckham rye park cafe where we can all grab a coffee and they can all run about outside. Would anyone be interested and then we can fix a date. Look forward to hearing from you.

Choice of Pre-school in regards to Primary School entry
Katiesa replied to Katiesa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you everyone for your responses, really good to get some advice. I think I will do what you said Cora and then see if I get mornings at the other one. The more I think about it the more I think mornings are better for us too as my little one has more energy then and I like getting out the house first thing. Also as much as I would like to have the same preschool and primary it does seem that you have no way of knowing if you are going to get the primary even when you live close. It was never this stressful when we were kids!! -
Choice of Pre-school in regards to Primary School entry
Katiesa replied to Katiesa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you, I'm struggling too with the fact that one has offered me a morning which I wanted but the other one won't be letting me know until after the first one's deadline if I have a morning. I'm thinking mornings are a better slot, but maybe afternoons are ok. What do you think? I think the same preschool and primary if possible is preferable but primary I am guessing is all a bit of a lottery. -
Choice of Pre-school in regards to Primary School entry
Katiesa replied to Katiesa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you for that. Can I ask which school people would rate higher out of Goodrich and Heber for the pre-school? I guess it's personal opinion, but I am really struggling to make a decision. Thanks -
Hi all, I am sure this has been asked before, though couldn't find it on a search, but is it true that the pre-school your child goes to has no bearing what so ever on the primary school you would like them to go to? I am thinking of a different preschool to the primary I would pick as I think it has a better rating and is offering my preferred morning session, but then am worried it would then lower the chances for the other school at primary stage. Hope that makes sense. Thanks

Spring babies club (due Mar, Apr, May 2013)
Katiesa replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi all, I am going to brave it with my nearly three year old boy and my new baby boy...first day on my own. I will be the stressed looking mum with the baby in a petrol blue coloured bugaboo and my toddler riding on the buggy board!!! Hopefully it will all be as normal if we can get out of the house. -

I'm a bit scared of the forthcoming weeks handling two on my own but nxt week my mum is up so if the Peckham rye park one o'clock meetup is on nxt week then I'll be there with my two boys!! -

Hi all, my little one, a second boy, arrived at home early hours of Friday morning in two hours!! so not going to make meetups for another week. Loving having a little baby again and trying not to get scared by the actual practicalities of two!!!! -

Great idea although the one o'clock club runs on a Tuesday morning in the hut in Peckham rye park and we always go to that at that time (10-12pm) A lot of mums go with their new baby and toddler as your toddler can run around and do all the activities so think will stick to going. What about doing the clock house regular meetup on a Thursday am? as I don't think there's much on then. Whatever the majority think i guess. I'm due on Sunday and in unchartered waters as my first was a month early!! Katie -
