  1. i have had to clear up 3 dead foxes from my next door neighbours garden (shes squemish too) as her dog has killed them. it doesnt bother me picking them up and putting them in a bag. She rang the council and then left it in her recycling box so that they could collect it the next morning. The first time someone from the council came round and removed it and sprayed the area where the fox had been
  2. best thing to do if this ever happens again is not hit the dog or kick it but to put your hand over its nose so it cant breathe and then has to release its grip on the other dog. Only found this out after the attack that i witnessed
  3. definitely report it to the local dog wardens and neighbourhood watch. A similar incident happened near my house a few weeks ago. My neighbour was in the dog park with her dog and a man came in with a big dog (like a staff but bigger head) she asked the guy if the dog was ok with other dogs but the guy was on the phone. the next minute the dog charged at her jack russell and clamped onto its neck. Me and another passer by tried to get the dog off by hitting it etc. Eventually it released its grip and a council guy driving past got out and shouted that the dog should have been on a lead and been wearing a muzzle to which the owner shouted "its never done that before". Anyway we rushed the jack russell to the local vets and it had about 4 puncture wounds. After speaking to neighbours it turns out this guy has a staff as well which has attacked two dogs. the owner of the dog rang up the council and was told to ring the animal wardens and then contact neighbourhood watch so that they can record it and keep a watch out.
  4. have you tried a product called petal cleanse? You rub it on the cats fur and its stops the cats releasing the pores that causes allergies. It is a great product and definitely worth trying if you seriously do not want to rehome your cats
  5. our 21 month old daughter has been doing exactly the same. We put her in her bed and then she wakes up a few hours later screaming and crying and not wanting to go back to sleep unless she gets in bed with us.
  6. we have 4 cats and i had no problem with them when our daughter was born. They didnt even really bother with her at all. You can get a plug in called feliway which helps with new stressful situations in the house, might be worth getting one of those. I think as long as you still fuss the cats as much as you did before they should be fine.
  7. Think you have to tell them you have a baby and when we used a mini cab we had to take our own car seat with us.
  8. Sorry but if she came to me and said she needed money for heating etc, i would ask her why she couldnt pay her bill on time like the rest of us!
  9. i craved strawberries when i was pregnant. Not that keen on them now tho
  10. I have never had this problem in the Primark in Lewisham. I have taken my daughter in her pram with me in the changing room many times. Maybe you should ask a manager why they wont allow it in that store.
  11. must only be that sainsburys that is changing its opening hours as no mention of hours changing in my store. I also would have thought the Sydnenham store was busier than DKH bearing in mind its a superstore
  12. My 20 month old daughter has started doing the same. She wakes up anytime from 5.30am in the morning and no matter how much i try to get her to give me a cuddle in our bed to go back to sleep she doesnt want to know.
  13. My 19 month old daughter has been doing exactly the same. She wakes up any time from 3.30am until 5.30am crying, really upset and no matter how many times i lay her back down in her bed, she doesnt go back to sleep so we are having to put her in our bed until she falls asleep and then put her back into her bed.
  14. Mr Tumble used to freak me out but I think he is great and luckily so does my 19 month old daughter ha ha!!
  15. I also had an episiotomy after having forceps and ventouse and after quite a few months I felt fine. My daughter is now 19 months old and its like I never had the above done now. I must admit after i first had it done, I couldnt look down there to see if it had healed as was too scared.
  16. just wanted to say if you are suplimenting with aptamil and you are worried about feeding when out and about, you can buy the small ready made cartons of aptamil which is great when you are on the go.
  17. would recommend Pefkos in Rhodes. Apartments are called Pefki Island Resort. Lovely clean place, people friendly, got two resorts where you can use the facilities in each resort, 3 pools, within 5 minutes of restaurants, bars etc. We have been going for years, you book thru Thomson. have a look at their website at the photos and reviews.
  18. you should say if she can afford a mobile she can afford to have money for electricity and to get her priorities right. If it was a serious emergency then surely her husband would rush home and get electricity for her and the kids.

  24. Pefki Islands is definitely worth a visit. We love it there and have been there 5 times already. The staff are friendly and the place is very very clean. It has three pools and the beach is just at the bottom of the road. there is a little shop by the resort for your daily essentials and its about a 5-10 min walk to the restaurants and other shops. If anyone would like any more info, feel free to message me.
  25. we have been to pefkos in greece for a few years running before little one came along. Its a lovely resort with the option to use all facilities in two different resorts. They have a kids club during the day and evenings are usually dance acts, kareoke etc. It is a stones throw away from the restaurants etc. The resort is called Pefki Islands, have a look online. We are hopefully going this year with our daughter who wil be nearly 18 months.
