  1. We woke up this morning to find out that our 2 year old had emptied the entire contents of the vicks vapour rub onto her hair. i have washed it this morning but its still not out. Wondered if anyone had any ideas on how i can remove this completely from her hair.
  2. i would have said something to the parent or someone who runs the place. This is totally unacceptable and someone should be told. I would have thought that if this child carried on like this then they would be asked to leave
  3. can you not speak to the people in charge of the playgroup and ask them to have a word? They should really keep an eye on things and if necessary, bring it to the parents attention (if the parents are not taking any notice of their child)
  4. if you do have to rehome your cats (after trying all other avenues) please advise new owners to keep them in for at least 4 weeks before letting them go outside
  5. i used palmers cocoa butter cream, worked for me and i never got any although i think it could just be luck!
  6. two days before my daughter was born i went into hospital as i was having contractions. The nurse examined me and then politely told me she had given me a sweep. Needless to say i was back in hospital early the following morning in agony and my daughter was born the following day so it definitely helped me. I was in agony after she did it tho
  7. we had one done when i was pregnant with our daughter. We went to a private practice in Harley Street. We came away with a dvd and some still photos which were lovely.
  8. Petal Cleanse? is a surfactant based lotion that removes from the coats of cats, dogs and other pets the allergens that cause allergic reactions in humans. These reactions include: - Streaming puffy eyes - Runny nose - Inflamed throat - Wheezing - Sneezing - Asthma - Eczema - Hives It is estimated that 26% of the population in approximately 6 million households in the UK are allergic to pets. People who are allergic to pets are only too familiar with the awful symptoms. Any animal with fur or feathers can cuase the reaction but cats tend to evoke the most severe response followed by dogs. Contrary to popular expectations, it is not the hair itself that causes the problem so the reactions are equally prevalent with breeds that do not shed their coats. The reaction is caused by peoples' sensitivity to the potent allergen Fel d1 that is prevalent in cats, Can f1 in the dog and the microscopic dander, saliva and urine from both cats and dogs. Constant bathing of pets dries out the coat and is a source of stress to all concerned. The production of allergens also increases as the pet matures so kittens and puppies may be tolerated but mature cats and dogs may not. The way it works Petal Cleanse/CTM for cats and Petal Cleanse/DTM for dogs, are lotions composed of a delicate balance of cleansers and moisturiers. The cleansers gently remove the dander and saliva and encapsulate the Fel d1, Can f1 and microscopic allergens. The moisturisers condition the coat and skin to further reduce the amount of material shed.
  9. dont just jump straight in with the "get rid of the cats" way out. Please try petal cleanse, it is a brilliant product and it works by you wiping it on the cats fur and it stops them releasing the pores which causes the allergies in the first place.
  10. try the product petal cleanse, it is a brilliant product and definitely worth trying if you seriously do not want to rehome your cats
  11. half the stuff probably doesnt get collected as people walking past sometimes take it too. I put a small bag of clothes out for such a charity only to find a woman walking past opening the bag to have a look
  12. maybe put up some posters in the area, someone could be looking for it and really worried.
  13. sorry but when i found a cat that had been run over by a car, i picked it up, put it in a bag and took it to my local rescue centre so that they could see if it had a microchip and if not, then dispose of it.
  14. was there no way you could have taken the cat to a vet to check if it was microchipped. Also its very rare that a fox will attack a cat in this way
  15. im sure they have a mobile phone so tell them to ring a friend to help them out
  16. so it must have been you that was mentioned in the sun then? hope you get them back
  17. There is a small article about this in the sun, presume its the same person
  18. ha ha let me know edcam and i will come and join you!
  19. you can ring environmental health and they can come out to check the noise level/time etc
  20. sorry i agree with deptforddiva, how do you know cats etc wont eat the poison? Also how do you know its the foxes that are shitting in your garden, digging holes etc? It could be cats in the area. Also that constant whining is them talking to one another.... Why did you even bother to post this on here?
  21. if its the same as another sainsburys then the car park is nothing to do with sainsburys. It is run by a completely independent company so not sainsburys liability
  22. I went to greece when i was pregnant with my daughter and unfortunately i had to avoid all feta cheese there which was so annoying as i love the stuff
  23. Pefki Islands Resort in Rhodes is a lovely place. We go there every year and are planning to take our daughter there for her first holiday next year. It is self catering and there is lovely restaurants nearby (5 min walk). The resort has two pools and you can also use the facilities at the resort just a minute away (owned by the same people). Place is very clean, people friendly.
  24. The Minkey... the foxes are quite brave in our gardens. They go into peoples houses through the cat flap. Next door neighbours dog sits quietly in the garden of a night and basically jumps them. I have had adult foxes in my kitchen and also a baby actually in our hallway which i have had to chase outside
