Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts and recommendations. I took the advice of 'Chick' and 'Burbage' and contacted Southwark council pest control. They came swiftly and sorted out the problem for ?66.36. It was a five minute job, but it seems to have done the trick. We have our garden back and can open our windows again, hurrah! Thanks 'Take Note', 'Dulwich Fox', Sue and 'SpringTime' for sharing your experiences. I think calling in the professionals was the right thing to do in this case.

A huge crew of ED wasps have built their home for the summer outside our back door. We have a one year old and worried about him getting stung. I imagine this is a job for the professionals- Can anyone recommend a local wasp nest exterminator? Has anybody really brave tackled a wasp nest themselves? Any advice / recommendations / experiences /much appreciated Many thanks!

I asked a builder working on the playground the other day. He said, ?End of the summer... Maybe end of July if we?re lucky?.

Read on the forum that GM Hair on Melbourne Grove was great for first haircuts. I took my wriggly 15 month old there just before Christmas and they were very sweet and patient. They also gave us a 'congrats on your first haircut' certificate. Overall good cut and experience- ?12

Hi Sdow and Audrey! Oooh I've not heard about the Bump & Baby club. Is that something in the local area? All my friends with kids say to do the NCT course, so I'm sorting of going along with it...? Was thinking about doing a Hypnobirthing course too, but my friend has leant me her book so I'll see how I get on with that first. Signed up to preggo yoga on Goose Green so looking forward to starting that this weekend. BTW Sdow- my birthday is on 5th October too! I'm convinced the baby will arrive on my bday and that will be birthdays over for me forever! Rx
