  2. Sparks is great
  3. The older the longer the recovery but if he's in pain and discomfort with repeat UTIs for example it'll be a necessary evil by the sound of it and likely worth it in the long run. Good luck, try not to worry!
  4. Artastic at Goodrich school, there's a separate thread on here. There's also usually a sports one at Dulwich Hamlets football club, which is cheap but great fun!

  11. Bumping as only 14 days to go on their fundraiser now and only about ?3k to go until they hit their target! This is a fantastic community resource, particularly for children over the age of 6 yrs old (which are quite few and far between generally speaking) and they run lots of events and a holiday club, so a new building to help them carry on with their great work would be marvellous :) https://www.spacehive.com/DKHAP-plan-the-adventure to donate whatever you can THANKS
  12. A grocers in my home town of Chorlton in Manchester are collecting for young women who find themselves homeless/living in a hostel. Chorlton is a nice area which has suffered an increase in homelessness in the last few years. They also do general collections too for the homeless or those in poverty for warm gloves, hats etc. Both male and female. I'm collecting to send a box of unused new toiletries, make up and anything else that would be a nice gift for a young homeless woman this Christmas, so if anyone has anything in their cupboards please PM me - thanks! More details about 'Reach out to the Community' here: https://www.facebook.com/OutReachtotheCommunity/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED
  13. I tried Naty and they were nice on skin but I found leaked unfortunately. I find Sainsburys Little Ones great value but after two children I still think Pampers are best :)
  14. I can highly recommend Lou's spin painting parties - perfect for this age group and lots of fun! You can order pizzas or other food at the venue and he even has a candyfloss machine (who dsnt like candyfloss?!). Great value for money. 16. Any kind locals wanting to contribute please make a donation here: http://www.dkhap.org.uk/donate.php Blurb from their site: We see more than 100 kids a day using the indoor space to play table tennis, use computers and to get their hands mucky at our pottery classes. We want to change our tired indoor space into an area which is light and spacious and somewhere children can learn new skills and meet new friends. Please help support us by donating however much you see fit.
  17. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/metxmastree Looks like a very worthwhile cause for Christmas :)
  18. Use as much stuff from last year as possible. Limit expensive/large gifts and buy lots of small stuff which young kids love. Wait for discounts to be e-mailed or advertised before Christmas shopping. Use a cashback website to get money back on any online purchases - e.g. Kidstart Buy gift vouchers from work and try and forget they are there / don't use until you need to buy Christmas presents. Buy stuff throughout the year for other people, this means less stress in December.
  19. Bumping as a great organisation / cause run by the lovely local Lorraine :)
  20. I'd agree if you want to do one colour try it yourself at home - mine is dark blonde/mousy brown naturally but I have had it highlighted since I was in my teens (LONG ago)... I do one myself now with a L'Oreal box and then go to a salon - agree GMs is always good and Mila & Davis on North Cross Rd are a lovely bunch :)
  21. It sounds like a habit like any other to me, so for some it's finger or dummy sucking (similar to comfort they got when breast or bottle feeding) so I'd try a comfort blanket or toy of some sort to wean on to something else - at the end of the day they grow out of everything once they can talk as you say, so try not to worry too much. My eldest sucked his fingers til he was 4(!) and my youngest had a dummy, until I did away with it after he had his tonsils out as too much risk of infection afterwards. Surprisingly he was okay with it when I explained and just gave him a bottle of milk at night for comfort, worked a treat. Good luck!
  22. Annabel Karmel's 'Children's First Cookbook'
  23. Baby Booters for 2-4 yr olds Sunday mornings 11am-12pm lots of fun. http://www.jagssportsclub.co.uk/courses/baby-booters/ They have various other things going on, e.g. an indoor climbing wall and fabulous swimming pool. It's on Red Post Hill close to Dulwich Village / North Dulwich. Easy by car or bus (37, P4)
  24. Our old childminder does this and the kids LOVE it - the parents not so much ;)
  25. Somerset House also has specific children's sessions (with polar bears to help the little ones) and 1:1 skating lessons...
