  1. SE22 piano school run by lovely Lorraine - www.se22piano.co.uk
  2. I'd move him to a low bed (even a z-bed or something like that) and also try Brolly Sheets which are great if a bit pricey. Good luck!
  3. There is also an event on tomorrow - Thurs 9 March 2017 (childcare available if needed). https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/southwark-schools-scrutiny-in-a-day-tickets-31687653625 to register
  4. Hi - my 6 yr old goes to Nimble Arts (holiday clubs at Heber), would be happy to try and meet up before then but failing that I wound't worry as this club is brilliantly run and they make the kids feel at home right away - run by a mix of teachers and those who have other childcare experience/students so a real good mix and they have so much fun. My son has been going since he was 4 and absolutely loves it!

  7. The man was caught and indeed it seems has MH issues.
  8. Try looking up events at Punk Me Up cafe on East Dulwich Rd I'm sure they do after school arts and crafts... http://pmub.wpengine.com/about/
  9. There are lots of groups listed on here if you do a search, otherwise just try some local baby classes (check websites like East Dulwich Mummy (mine), ED Tots, ED Mums and Dads and Hoop is a good app for "what's on"). This is nappy valley, you'll make friends in no time!

  11. I think it's a great idea, I'm sure he'll love it - won't last forever but what does with kids of any age!?! Lighting point I agree on, get a really good desk lamp and ensure the main light in his room is sufficient for reading.
  12. https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/in-your-community/apply-for-a-school-tree-pack/ Worth following up or passing on info to local schools and nurseries, those with outdoor space for saplings but also those who could contact Southwark Council to organise permission to plant in woodland - e.g. Dulwich Woods or Dulwich Park...
  13. Nets at night are key, there are some natural repellents as well as those you buy in chemists so maybe she should try both? Ask in Health Matters on Lordship Lane - they're amazing, have something for everything!
  14. I've booked JAGS for my youngest (turning 3) son's party - bouncy castle party very reasonably priced and good space! Review to follow in April :) They also do go karting / trampolining (as above) / indoor climbing parties for older kids... I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lou's Spin painting & screen printing t-shirt parties (Captured on the Rye) as above!
  15. I think schools and parents need to teach kids to help each other as well as teaching not to bully etc. Finland has a great teaching system in that regard. Lots wrong with our schools and communities but also lots of positives.
  16. He's been caught apparently- stabbing near Dulwich library unrelated apparently.
  17. Some of you may have seen on the news or Facebook but I wanted to make you aware young/teenage girls have been targeted by a man (black, in his twenties, has been known to wear a coat with furry hood - quite distinctive). I think there were five incidents reported last week and I myself saw a young school girl being questioned about a similar incident when she got off the bus near Dulwich library Friday evening. He could be unstable, who knows but please be vigilant!
  18. Now over 913,000... March this evening for those wanting to / able to attend.
  19. It basically seems to apply to everyone with certain nationalities or traveling from certain countries BUT after clarification was sought by our Foreign Secretary it does not appear to include British citizens with dual nationality or traveling from those countries on Trump's list (so a case of "we're okay"). Utter hateful nonsense.
  20. Bumping- I strongly feel we should all be signing to send him and his cronies a clear message.
  21. A friend of mine highly recommends Perform, her daughter is now 7 and has gone since she was around 4 and loves it!
  22. Tom came to fix a plug for our built in oven- he was available quickly, did a great job and was very friendly and helpful- pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him!
  23. Bumping and recommending again for 2017 :)
  24. We're going to Kew and I wondered if anyone had parking tips? We've parked nearby before but this time it's an event so likely to be packed out. Thanks for your help!
