  1. http://hb-therapy.co.uk/ Julia did a marvellous spray tan (scaredycat first time ever - very pale skin, fear of orange look but turned out very natural and lasted a week!) and eyebrow tint. Would highly recommend for a special treat or gift
  2. Nimble Arts is brilliant, based at Goose Green school this time http://nimblearts.co.uk/ Dulwich Kids at Dulwich Hamlets near Sainsburys Dog Kennel Hill is also really good tho shorter hours than the above http://www.dhfitc.org.uk/site/NonSecure/index.aspx
  3. I agree, stick to one for continuity... Nanny great esp for younger kids but equally nurseries can suit some babies (my first loved childminder, second is loving nursery, depends on the child). Nanny will mean help with some chores and child in their own home but of course you are hiring just one person so need to be sure they will provide same level of care as you do. Speak to lots of people, visit nurseries and childminders and you will get a gut feel for what is right for you and your family x
  4. Always a great school fair, worth a visit... Tombola, face painting, raffle, usual stalls. Hope to see you there!
  5. Have a look around and don't panic, but yes get your name down ASAP once you know which you like x
  6. Michele Misgalla is lovely, would highly recommend :) I did her yoga class when pregnant...
  7. http://www.neighbourhoodmidwives.org.uk/ Try Neighbourhood midwives If they don't offer this service I am sure they can recommend someone

  9. Artastic do arts and crafts, not sure about pottery but you could head to All Fired Up for one of their classes as a treat?
  10. as above but also polydrons are great - bit pricey but they last as they're robust plastic and magnetic...
  11. We stayed at Honeysuckle Cottages in Glastonbury and had a lovely time. Quite a drive but you can break up the journey - http://www.honeysucklefarmcottages.co.uk/
  12. Bumping as great idea - the sports club at Hamlets and Nimble Arts are great but I am sure room for another to do this over summer hols :)
  13. Lisa at Goose Green Clinic on East Dulwich Road...
  14. Could be fleas brought into your house from elsewhere. I am very sensitive and now and again (esp in hot weather) end up with red bites all over my lower legs and sometimes on my face and neck. If they ease off in cooler weather I'd def say it's some sort of insect. Not a great deal you can do other than wash all bedding and loose covers on furniture where you have them. Hope they go away!!
  15. I'd definitely get a second opinion, my brother always had terrible problems with his teeth (deep cusps apparently) but only had fillings from almost teens, would agree milk teeth rarely have treatment that serious. My friend's daughter's two front teeth went black as they were rotten and then they fell out and new adult teeth came through eventually. My friend got told off by her dentist for her son having too many smoothies the other day, you just cannot do right as a parent!!
  16. Bumping as incredibly crucial we get another good secondary school in East Dulwich - please pass the message on so as many people as possible complete the survey / public consultation! Only took a few mins to complete.
  17. Great article by ShutterBaby on why and how to choose a professional baby photographer... Definitely worth a read if you have been thinking about hiring a photographer but not sure if you can justify the cost or can't choose between one of the many local / East Dulwich photographers for your family. here is the link to the article [http://www.shutterbaby.co.uk/choosing-newborn-baby-photographer-london] :)
  18. http://www.scummymummies.com/blog/top-ten-life-hacks-every-parent-should-know-by-the-scummy-mummies
  19. There are nice wooden clocks where the child puts the right number in the right place, that's a good start and you can get flash cards... I also agree real clocks best rather than a learning clock once they are a bit older and are ready to learn
  20. Just found this http://bokac.co.uk/page/about-us Looks good!
  21. Yes Mahala Ford at GG Clinic is lovely, would highly recommend!
  22. Ah well I stand corrected! Thanks for the info, duly noted :)
  23. https://www.change.org/p/southwark-council-save-judith-kerr-primary-school-s-only-playing-field-from-being-developed?recruiter=57290573&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=autopublish&utm_term=des-md-guides-no_msg Crucial as many locals sign this petition as possible, even if your child/ren dsnt attend (mine dsnt either) we all need to stand together and stop the council selling off precious land for profit. See the example of Dog Kennel Hill Primary School - they used to have a huge playground, look at it now, full of housing. Shocking.
