Double glazing is really a must in bedrooms I think, with that I am ok with it. In really hot weather, if you've got to have a window ajar I really notice how loud it is. Luckily it's not really hot that often and they seem to rotate the flight path so only some days it's bad.

Probably, though presumably some of them must be losing money, there must be debt to service or other issues to cause the administration. At macro level, there are probably too many similar businesses for them all to survive. I find myself wondering similar about all the cafe's we have now.

Pretty certain EU countries can't charge VAT on education due to the EU VAT directive mandating it. I hope we appreciate the irony, anyway. I think there is plenty of space in local schools, the birth rate has collapsed in the last 10 years.

Be very careful about what the estate agent tells you and make sure you independently verify it... They have no obligation to be honest with you..., usually the reverse in fact, they'll often just tell you what you want to hear to get the deal done.
