The exact same thing happened to us! He used to take a bottle when he was really little and then at about 6 weeks decided not to cooperate anymore. We've been trying ever since (he's now 12 weeks) with no joy, though have just been away too so given him a couple of weeks off. Going to try again this weekend... We've been using Tommee Tippee too but someone suggested trying Avent so we've got a new bottle to have a go with but not out of the box yet... Health visitor suggested trying to feed him in his bouncy chair and to make sure I was out of the room so as not to confuse him... So frustrating isn't it??!

Iamyamyam- pound lying on the ground - not mine to take: really? I'd pick it up.... -
Sorry I didnt get to catch up with you all yesterday - we had the dreaded 8 week jabs, which surprisingly didn't go too badly. Hope you and babies are all doing well and enjoying the sunshine. Won't be able to make the next couple of weeks either unfortunately but will keep an eye on this thread for future venues and see you in a few weeks time.

I'd also be really keen - don't mind helping to coordinate this too -
Hi all Know there have been other threads about this before but I was wondering whether anyone could recommend any current courses/workshops running for baby massage? I'm keen to try it out with my 8 week old and heard about a workshop at Ivydale school but there's a big waiting list... Are there any others in the local area that I could look into? Thanks Em

I'd heard about the Bumps and Babes group at St Faiths and was planning to go along and give it a go this Friday - had intended to go last Friday but time just diasappeared and we didn't make it down there... But will try harder this week! Hopefully see some of you there too. Is there a similar group at Goose Green community centre? Will try and make it along to Lucas tomorrow too (but knowing me will be late!)

Agree about those mini roundabouts - often on my bike on those and cars traveling across the melford one heading towards lordship lane just don't see it as a roundabout at all....

Hi James - in previous discussions a few weeks back think you said that the LL roadworks / gasworks up by Overhill Rd wouldn't have temporary lights as 2 lanes would remain open. Yet they have indeed appeared, and causing unnecessary tailbacks as only o e o the 2 is used at a time. Do you know why this happened? We seem a bit overkeen on lights IMO...! Thanks, Al -
Hi all Thanks for all the tips and suggestions - I've managed to track one down at the Fourways Pharmacy! Mothercare didn't seem to know what I was talking about (especially when I started asking about replacement pads!) and maintained I had to order one online... But got there in the end - hooray! Thanks again

Have left it very late (am 39 weeks) but am desperately trying to find somewhere locally that hires out TENS machines. I had been under the (naive!) impression that you could leave this to the last minute and stroll into any pharmacy to get one but have tried Boots (Forest Hill and Peckham), Lloyds, Co-op and Kings CH with no luck! Does anyone know of anywhere locally that supplies them? Am running out of time and hope! Thanks Em

Thanks Medley - have sent them my thoughts...

Barry - do you have a contact in Charge of forest hill station (is it London overground?)? Ever since the overground started running highbury and islington the platform indicators don't show the alternating 2nd and 3rd trains as high & I takes too many letters (ie uses both lines). Surely we could just abbreviate it to Highbury or similar so we can see the next trains? I mentioned it to the station staff but the didn't seem very interested... Al

U-Turn from Lordship Lane northbound to access Wood Vale: Hi James, A new no u-turn sign has appeared in the last week or two just down the hill from the Horniman, effectively banning u-turns to access Wood Vale when driving from Forest Hill towards East Dulwich. Up to now there has been a gap in the central reservation and a permitted, albeit often honked at, u-turn. With Melford Road having been made one way the only route that you can do this via is to go all the way to Overhill Road - do you know why this u-turn ban was put in? It was a very popular maneouvre as far as I could tell, and the length you now have to drive to get to the same place seems excessive. Grateful for any background you can provide. Thanks, Al
