Deadline to comment on planning application for DHFC / building on Green Dale Fields is this Sunday 12th June.

It's interesting that the ultimate beneficiaries of this deal have chosen to base their business in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is an offshore tax jurisdiction in 2nd place for secrecy according to the 2015 Financial Secrecy Index (see Tax Justice Network report: http://www.financialsecrecyindex.com/PDF/HongKong.pdf) It tends to beg the question what do they have to be secretive about? Their application and recent PR also seek to portray a proposal with concern for the local community. Surely a basic first step in fulfilling one's responsibilities for the surrounding community is to pay one's taxes locally and transparently.

Hi Reposting this ad - there are now 2 of us, but it'd be great to have another 1 or 2 children, age around 6, beginners - to join us for group violin lessons in East Dulwich area. Group lessons have lots of advantages (including sharing the cost). Please send me a PM if you're interested and I can let you know more details. We are looking to start these asap.

I would also be interested to know of any supporters of allotments and whether there's any point in pursuing. I am a local resident and am more concerned about the land being used for community use that benefits more people than paying members of a club (though I'm not clear what DHFC intentions are regarding membership/use of the proposed development) - and I'm sure lots of local residents whether tenants (many of whom have lived here for a long time so are directly affected) or leaseholders would share that concern...
