  3. Bike sheds are gone Wardy, and the porters house has not been used for at least 10 years. My children went to Heber from '96 'til '06 and I worked there for a while. The last Head got the job done after we went into special measures but by golly he was an unpleasant chap..Lets hope things improve with the new one.
  4. I don't know if it's the same lady, but I did know an American woman who kept animals in Dulwich, including horses. She told me she lived in a big house which was some kind of commune and used to carry a rabbit around in a baby pouch on her chest and I haven't seen her for over a year...

  7. you're not being very forthcoming. Is there something here that others should be aware of or warned about?
  8. But aren't you all the same person?
  9. Let's not forget that not everyone who lives in East Dulwich is middle class or on a robust income or even a home owner. I for one am very grateful for Somerfield andIceland. Whether or not I like SMBS and the other specialist stores on LL, and regardless of my wishes to support local business, I cannot afford to shop there on a regular basis. I imagine there are still a lot of people like me who need supermarkets and half a dozen apples for a quid.Don't get me wrong I do use certain small shops for specific items and when I am can afford gourmet or even organic I'll use them a lot more, but in the meantime Somerfield and Iceland get my custom.
  10. No indeedy - you're no killjoy. Quic!duck! - there's a snowball heading your way!
  11. Oh dear... that's where my little science geek was off too this morning - and she is from the Lord Carpet Millionaire School. Should I get lawyered up?
  12. I know a turkey - i'm married to him.....
  13. Never mind snowballs you need to try my Christmas Cocktail - a pint of Guiness with a shot of Tia Maria. Mmmmm it's beery AND chocolatey. Now THAT'S a meal in a glass. Goes to show, you can take the girl out of Hackney but you can't take Hackney out of the girl.
  14. Do you by any chance know who decorted the park guerilla style with oil paintings earlier this year?
  15. Is that for you or the cat? I think I'm going to get one myself for the new year...
