  1. We've decided to go ahead with the valuation tomorrow and see what the surveyor says. Fingers crossed!
  2. There is a treatment plan in place and 2 weeks ago the specialist went to the property and said there was no new growth, however, I know it can lay dormant for years then come back again. Just not sure if it's worth pursuing or just walk away before we're too deep in?
  3. Hi all, My wife and I are looking to buy a home and we have just seen a report that says the property that we're very close to completing on has Japanese Knotweed in the garden. There is a treatment plan in place but I was hoping that somebody could help? Will we need to keep paying for the plan once we move in? Or is it on the Vendor to finish paying for this? Will a lender still lend on a property if Knotweed has been discovered/disclosed? We wouldn't not disclose it, but just checking. Is it worth the risk? I tried to call the company that are currently providing the treatment but they refused to give me any information. Cheers
  4. I personally think that a lot of it is because we've become so reliant on spell check and autocorrect now that we don't tend to check and just expect things to be right.
  5. It's a bit more in deepest darkest Peckham on Commercial Way, but I used to love going in the Duke of Sussex. It's run (or at least was a couple of years ago) by an awesome Irish chap called Finton. He would be happy to allocate a space. It's a great pub, friendly staff, will do food and I'm sure he wouldn't mind you playing your own music for a few hours too.
  6. Just seen a cat looking very similar outside my house on Abbotswood a road, couldn?t get close to bring it in or get a better look I?m afraid
  7. Hi all, No ED I know, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on Sydenham. My wife and I are potentially looking at buying there and I hoped that some of you lovely lot could help me out a bit. Are there any parts to avoid/aim for (apart from the Thorpes - my budget won't stretch that far)? Has anyone moved there recently? What's it like? I keep seeing good things and the "up and coming" gambit thrown around a lot. Any info would be amazing. Thank you
  8. It's not going to be an Argos.
  9. bit of a limp defence 2wans ;)
  10. Limp wristed knock or limp wristed handshake generally describes a lack of confidence rather than someones sexual orientation. It's one of the first things people are ever taught about interviewing, a firm handshake exudes confidence...
  11. I have a contract with Sky. It can sometimes be a little bit slower than I'd like, but that could be because we have several devices connected and using it at the same time. I had a problem about 12 months ago when it went down for a day, other than that, in 2 years, it's been great. Customer service has been very good too.
  12. Qwerty usually plays with my cat Tilly (the long tortoise shell) and they're always around about DJ's place. I'll keep my eyes peeled and see if I can find him this evening on my way home. I have some treats that I've used to shake and find Tilly. I'll give them a shake this evening too to see if Qwerty comes running. They're never that far apart so will definitely keep my eyes peeled for you.
  13. Hi All, Not sure if this is going to be the best place for this to go in, but I've recently moved to the area and now I'm all settled in, I'm looking to join a football team in the area. Saturday or Sunday league. I've been out of action for a couple of seasons due to injury and a car accident, so looking to get my fitness back and start playing again. I've played at a pretty decent level over the years (been playing for 23 now...) as a striker but can play anywhere on the field, wherever I'm needed. Like I said, fitness isn't what it was, but looking to get back out there, meet some new people, have a laugh and enjoy playing again. If anyone knows of any in the area, it would be great to hear. I drive, so location isn't a problem. Thanks in advance, Dom
  14. BT Sport have confirmed that they are going to be showing it free to air, so if you get the BT sport channel on your freeview, you will be able to watch it. Alternatively, I know the Duke of Sussex in Peckham will be showing it and they will allow kids in there.
  15. They had the semi-final on, so I would assume they will show it.
  16. The Actress is good for Sports. Good atmosphere and food too.
