Another recommendation for Julian Richards. We contacted Julian last year about fitted wardrobes. He was quick to respond and thorough during the site visit and quotation. We changed our minds quite a lot during the process and Julian was excellent at responding. Julian worked efficiently and to deadlines, always checking in with us and asking our advice. A lovely person to have in your house (we even trusted him with a key which I never do). All in all a brilliant carpenter for wardrobes and other things and we cannot recommend him enough.

Hi all, my son starts at the villa in a few weeks. In the welcome pack there is a flyer for The Villa t shirts for him. Do the nursery kids usually wear these or is it ok to go in own clothes? If they do, is anyone selling second hand for sustainability reasons?! Thanks!

Mother goose Peckham rye day nursery is amazing Goslings (good feedback from friends) Banana moon (wasn?t that impressed with that one to be honest) Stepping stones if you want Montessori The villa is incredible but you will also need to sign up from birth Good luck!

Hi everyone - happy new year! We are looking for a nursery for our one year old, to start when he is 2.5. I appreciate that we probably are slightly late in the game as so many demand sign up from birth (or before?!). We have a terrible, corrupt landlord owning next door, who keeps the house in disrepair. I have already spoken to the council about it and they have asked him to make changes to the house to make it safer for the tenants (please know that there is a family living there where they definitely have rats!). I just wonder if there is anything else I can do to make sure he is held to account? I know that he has other properties in Lewisham and other areas so probably keeps them in the same state. Can i contact local papers or anyone else? Thanks

Hi, We have a nanny for our child until he is 2. After that I realise I need to look into nursery etc. Are there any recommendations of good nurseries nearer to Nunhead way? Also, is it better to go with a nursery attached to a school so there is more chance of admission to the school or does it not matter? Thanks!

Hi all, Just wanted to let you know about the brilliant Alison Scott Wright who has recently helped our little 10 week old with reflux to feel better AND sleep. Jude suffers with terrible reflux so rarely napped in the day and was in pain a lot. Alison is an expert on sleep for babies but also specialises in reflux so really understands the issues surrounding digestive issues and sleep. Jude now naps for hours in the day, in his cot (not on me!) and slept last night all night without any feeds. It is a mini miracle and I wanted to share her expertise with you.
