  1. Was told today, when phoning to get a new bin, that soon everything will have to be done online. I am sure there must be some people who are not online at home, so what are they supposed to do? P
  2. Sainsburys ED does it, it's on the top shelf, down from the crumpets. Also, Waitrose and Selfridges. Jewish Bakeries, like Grodzinski, and all, the bakers on Golders Green Rd. Also, the bagel bakery in Spitalfields.
  3. Yes, very odd, pay another 70 pence in Sainsbury and get some jam with your jar.
  4. Heard on news that a policeman had been run over by burglars. He is alive.

    How much !

Seabag, agree with you about keeping your personal stuff away from the brand. That account is rather boastful, lots of holiday pictures too.

    How much !

Ayres now has a deli counter. They sadly had to go to a car dealer the other day to buy a new car, and found it stressful, relayed via their Twitter A/c. I bought A pack of six wholemeal buns from sainsburys for a quid.
  9. Thanks, was going to take two buses! Geffrye, not Geoffrey! Blinking predictive text.... Like Paddy, not Patty....

    Bin woes

By bin lined streets, do you mean bins in general or the ones left outside the property boundary on the pavements? The latter are the real eyesores imo.

Nice staff too Noak? They serve food on wooden boards and steak tartar instead of steak tartare.

    Soup Cafe

Nice beetroot soup at Polish restaurant Mamuska, elephant and castle, it's drinkable.
  13. Isn't there a sign on the gate saying no adults allowed in without children?
  14. Thanks for replies. If anyone has a used cardboard sleeve, I could wrap it in plastic.
  15. Thank you, wonder where to get one? I also thought of a pizza box.
  16. Does anyone have any ideas? Am sending it to Spain, never packaged or posted one before.
  17. This guy is a prize plonker.
  18. I don't mind a jam jar to drink from, but it has to be a decent size.

  21. He's only retiring from Breakfast TV. He is 60 years old. He has lots of other telly projects lined up.
  22. I thought this trend had died out, but was served a pizza on one last week at a Brockley restaurant. The board was also too small for the pizza. Why is this considered a good idea?
  23. So gruesome. Wonder if a trap is being used. How would you catch a fox otherwise? It's always a good idea to keep cats in at night as they are more likely to come to harm at night.
