Maybe the tips are to pay for the relaunch. They sold their crockery amongst other items.

There was a mass walkout of the staff? Including the bakers? Does that mean no more Danish delights? Loved the cinnamon rolls, the scones and muffins. Can't say I like the look of the new menu.
  5. If you google her name you can find stories about it in The Evening Standard and Daily Mail. Apparently the driver left keys in ignition.

  7. Noticed that new menu for Noak in Brockley says they will be adding a 'discretionary' service charge of 10% onto each bill. Why now?

Amazed that no-one has been hurt! Has James > Barbour commented on this problem? At least two people have been hit there, I read about it on this Forum.

  10. To listen to the interview go to BBC Radio London on iPlayer, 14 July at the Jo Good programme, on at 1300. Her interview starts after 2 hours in. Last hour of the programme.
  11. Complete Pet Care, a local company run by Angela Norton, is involved in this shocking event. I heard her interviewed on BBC London.
  12. Muschamp Road has a proliferation of bins on the pavement, especially on side backing on to Marsden Road.
  13. There is a playground a stone's throw away to play, and the arboretum part of Peckham Rye for picnics, with tables. Why not go to either of those?
  14. Good news! Was the gate open? Did he get spooked by something and slip his collar? Dulwich Woods is quite a way from Goose Green, was he familiar with it? Such a relief.

I wasn't actually aiming my question at you, because I didn't know you went out to work, but if you got a dog knowing you had to get a dog walker to take it out, then why? Some people work from home and are with their dog most of the time, but could use a dog walker to take their dog out occasionally. But don't understand how someone could get a puppy and then go out to work every day and expect a dog walker to train and socialise a dog. Equating children to dogs is rather strange. I don't know anyone who would leave young children alone before the age of 11 or thereabouts.

Why do people get a dog if they have to go out to work? It's not fair to the dog to be left alone for hours, especially a young dog. Having a dog walker isn't enough.

    How much !

Yes, to the Cheese Block Brie, sitting on the back shelf.
  18. I saw two women one morning last week, gabbing away to each other while ignoring the three dogs they had between them, two Border terriers and a Cavalier. They were in front of the dogs at most times, and I saw them miss at least one pile of poo, from the Cavalier. If two women can't or won't monitor three dogs, then what hope is there for larger amounts of dogs? The park seems like a weird sort of dog racetrack now.
  19. Google the 1940s House on YouTube. It was filmed in Braemar Gardens, West Wickham, in a 1930s built house, with a family who agreed to live there as if it was during WW2.
  20. The police can't chase them when they take their helmets off, or don't have any to begin with.
  21. This story is being comprehensively covered on BBC Radio London, 94.9, now, on the Drivetime programme. They interviewed the Chief Executive. Available to listen to on iPlayer later tonight
  22. Bellenden Rd has a Big Lunch every year.
  23. These trains didn't aeappear to be running yesterday due to track work, I was told at the station. Does anyone know if they are running today? Thanks.
  24. It's my belief that there are a number of under the counter deals with this practice, with bribes being accepted and encouraged, by the agent.
