  1. Thank you!
  2. Looking to buy a lot of these, and wondered if anyone could recommend some hard wearing and reasonably priced ones. Thanks.
  3. And Mayland, in the same vicinity of Virginia and Washington. You could get the train from Boston to Washington. So many amazing places to visit. Virginia is the start of the southern USA. If you are interested in US history, then that area is mind blowing.
  4. Yes, please keep your cats in at night, so what if you have to get a litter tray. Am constantly surprised by the amount of roaming cats I see and hear at night, also early in the morning.

    .

    Agree with Loz.
  6. Washington, Virginia and North Carolina.
  7. I have cooked chicken at a really high heat before, but prefer it the other way. Meat thermometers are very useful.
  8. And can't/don't shut the lids enabling foxes to go into the rubbish and take out food and dirty nappies and spread it around. Lots of the stuff in the bin is stuff that should be in the recycling bin too. Cardboard, plastic etc. I've dealt with the fallout and so have the poor bin men. Fines are required I think.
  9. Squeezing a lemon over the bird, and inside and leaving a cut lemon in the cavity is also good for adding flavour. When roasting , cook in a pan with some water in the bottom to keep moist, and use the lemon and rub skin with butter first. Those roasting bags you can buy also keep in flavour. That's how I cooked chicken all the time when I ate more meat than I do now. Waitrose do rather nice free range chicken rotisserie chicken.
  10. It's not the only way the BBC makes money.
  11. Licences are free over age 75.

  13. I don't think anyone knows what will happen. Probably hoping that people will buy a licence anyway so they can truthfully answer yes to the question that pops up on the screen when you log into iPlayer. Unless you have to enter a pin, how can it be enforced?

But, you don't need a licence to listen to any radio stations, even if they are BBC ones. They need to get a grip on the absurd amount of 'managerial' positions, bonuses, their chasing of ratings, and ridiculous salaries for their turns, just for starters.
  15. Try Southwark highways. Get email and send a picture. Also contact councillors.
  16. I haven't investigated it for a while but understood that everything was done together, and the costs of the credit checks, done by a referencing agency, were chargeable to the tenant.
  17. I think the best thing is to go for landlord insurance; the company does all the checks on the tenants. Join the National Landlord's Association for help.
  18. I meant the one through the bushes, at the back of the court lane house gardens and further round. I have seen quite a few mountain bikes there and it always surprises me.
  19. Are cyclist allowed to go on the dirt path that runs round the park on the dog area starting by Court Lane, behind the gardens?
  20. Any tips on places to visit, walk, eat?
  21. There are two other threads on this. Three dogs still missing, out of five. The company involved was local, Complete Pet Care, in Nunhead.
  22. Yes, I see now there were 5 dogs and one was found in Sydenham and then another in Swanley. That means that the walker was going to have at least six dogs with her if she was picking up another dog.
  23. Tip jar and a service charge? Bizarre. Unfortunately lots of businesses use the tips, or a portion of them for the staff wages.
  24. The link to DogLost site said the van had 5 dogs in it. A mistake? or maybe they were including the dog the walker was picking up when van was stolen. Would like to know how many dogs were walked at one time by this company.
