Hi all This week, the Me&Ed lampost photo banners were taken down for the final time to make way for the East Dulwich Xmas lights. The competition was run in back in 2018/19 by the East Dulwich Action Group in conjunction with Southwark Council, and was based around local residents photography of East Dulwich. We also comissioned the fantastic mural at East Dulwich Station. It was a great community-driven project and an honour to be part of it - huge thanks from my side to the enthusiastic team which made up the East Dulwich Action group. BUT most importantly, we hope it brightened up your travels around East Dulwich for the past 2 years. East Dulwich - you are awesome! Discussions are underway for a final exhibition of the residents photography and the banners. So watch this space! Bryan @ Raised by Bears

A LOT of missing cats in East Dulwich
Raised by Bears replied to amlh's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Foxes are no threat to cats. They scavenge, and eat small rodents and insects. The VERY few reports of fox and cat attacks are usually due to opportunistic and unusual cases where the cat is injured or very infirm, or the cat has been killed in a road accident for example, and the fox is simply scavenging. But it's extremely rare. A healthy cat can cause too much damage to a foxes face and eyes, so it's generally not worth the risk. -
The Southwark Park fireworks tickets tomorrow are long sold out, but does anyone have advice on where best to go externally to see them?

Hi Tania Really awful! Must have been very scary for your son, and disappointing that a passer by did just that, especially when a kid was asking for help! I have a used but working iPhone 5s, which your son can have for free. I don't use it anymore and if it can go to a good home, then great. Email me if your son would like it using the details below. Rob, our area will have connectivity issues until the January 2017. Virgin have massively oversubscribed their service in the area and everyone's connection will be choked or patchy until they resolve it. Was MEANT to be August, then September and now January. We requested a refund and got a miniscule ?10 per month, so we are in the process of going to the ombudsman about it, as they are STILL advertising for new customers in the area.

I work from home, and my fibre broadband connection drops every 15-20 minutes. I started keeping notes of times, but it got ridiculous. Virgin issues going on for nearly a year now, with constant promises of improvement. The area is totally oversubscribed and we were told the upgrade to the system would be complete in August. Then on August 31st we received a letter saying it would no be December 30. I called to complain (AGAIN)and was offered a "take it or leave" discount of ?10 per month off. No negotiation at all. They said leave or go to the Ombudsman. ....so we've started a complain with the Ombudsman. Does anyone know if multiple complaints are collated by the Ombudsman or if they are all handled individually. Virgin Media in East Dulwich is an absolute joke.

We have had a friendly male, fluffy black cat, fluorescent yellow bell, yellow eyes on collar visiting us for the past few weeks. Friendly with our 3 cats but determined to get in our house. We haven't fed him and make sure he's chased out if our doors are open. We are at the 306 medical centre end of lordship lane and he always comes from the opposite side. He looks healthy, but just want to check is is owned.
