We live on dog kennel hill and wouldn't get in to charter 1 but would stand a good chance of getting into charter 2. This area has been a blackspot as far as secondary school admissions go, lots of current yr 6 kids ending up with places in walworth so this is fantastic news. The whole Harris single sex vs co ed thing is irrelevant for us as we wouldn't stand a chance of getting into them anyway. As far as the habs heat map goes, I haven't seen it but I did hear that the charter bid got more than double the number of signatures despite the campaign starting later.

Reading earlier, if I get this right? For the current year 3 kids, who will start in sept 2013, Southwalk is anticipating a 10 class shortfall of secondary school places, with four of those classes being mopped up by a new secondary school already approved in Rotherhithe. Leaving a further 6 whole classes in southwalk who will be without a place. James, you are saying "The primary school place crisis is expected to reach its full crisis Sept 2016. So we still have primary places to provide." Can you tell us any more about what the plans are to meet this shortfall?

Hi talking of secondary schools, does anyone know what the plan is for all these bulge classes that were added? My son in at Dkh but I don't think will get into charter and may well be too far from Harris boys... I'm not as up on it all as should be but I know goose green, lyndhurst, Heber all added classes...

I'm curious.. Does anyone know of kids that got in from grove lane or thereabouts?

Sam Berrada has spent last 8 years building his business, running cafe pronto booth in Denmark hill train station He has now been told he has to close down and bid following the refurb for right to start again. Couldn't agree more about the platform changes, always seems to happen when my disabled and elderly mum is trying to get home...shes missed so many trains due to platform changes. now she has to stand at top of stairs blocking the already narrow walkway until the very last minute. Also did you know that they are throwing the nice coffee guy out, after 9 years, presumably so they can get a big faceless chain in paying rubbish wages to indifferent staff....
