  8. We have two 4-5 month old kittens that have managed to escape us this morning. We've only had them for a few weeks so they won't respond to their names - Thor and Loki. Loki the grey one is friendly and will come to you but the taby is quite nervous. They were rescue cats. Please keep an eye out for them. We are all devastaed. They have no collar but are microchipped. We live on Barry Road. 07793748111
  9. My mother gave my 7 year old a small pearl necklace and she lost it. It was a family necklace and we are beside ourselves. She walked from Barry road to Ed and Marks and spencer So if anyone has seen it please get in touch.
  10. A few months ago someone that lives either on Barry road or landells road bought a dog. It barks a lot during the day and every night until around 8. Tonight it is going crazy. It's hard to know why (on its own, outside all the time, cats, squirrels )either way it is becoming pretty unbearable. Must be much worse for neighbors next door to it. Does anyone know which house/flat it belongs to?
  11. Thrilled with Saied's work, we start the week with a new lease of life in the garden and a result that is better than we had thought possible - great work thanks Saied
  12. We asked Saied to come around and help us with our garden - we needed to protect a wonderful wisteria during some building works. It was after reading recommenations on this forum that we decided to contact him. Since then he has been an absolute delight to work with. Very knowledgable, extremely helpful, genuinely caring of the work he does and the outcome for us, and always looking to make time for us. Every word written here about how great he is is true, if you want to talk to us before calling him feel free to PM. Cheers
  13. Hi there I have a girl and a boy (two years and 2 moths apart). I never had a brother and got myself in a right tizz about having a boy. He is now 15 months and they are totally inseparable. It is a joy to see - I am sure she is his favourite person in our house. I have a great relationship with my sister but we were never that close as children. They are different people than you and your brother so try not to worry too much. Don't forget your hormones are also going mental so perspective can be a challenge. Try to enjoy what is coming: it really is amazing. X
  14. My daughter started going last September and is very happy. The staff are great and have been there for many years. Happy to have a chat about it if you have specific questions / just Pm me.

  18. Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to the guy who came over last night and brought my bag and wallet back. I was so shocked I forgot to ask your name. And if I didnt thank you enough then - thank you again!! All contents of my wallet (minus the little cash I had) were still inside. Of course I had cancelled everything, but it is still great to get it all back (specially my drivers license). He found it on a building site in Streatham. Great to be reminded there are good people out there too. M
  19. I am fine, just really pissed off. I did report it to the police and sainsburys. It is also highly possible it got nicked as I was putting my bags inside trolley (as mentioned on thread above). if sainsburys are aware that a previous incident happened last week they should at least make us aware of it! Anyway, no point in getting irritated again. Just watch yourselves, and be more careful than me!
  20. Just to let people know my rucksack (with wallet inside) was stolen yeasterday around 4.20pm in Sainsburys. Though it was in front of me at all times (hanging from hook in front of trolley), I did have 2 children with me and I think that it got taken when I turned to hold my daughters hand to cross the carpark. It all happened within 5 minutes - the time it took for me to pay and walk to my car, and I think that I was definately targetted. It has never happened to me before and I have lived in ED for over 10 years. So try to be vigilant, specially if you have children with you. And if anyone comes across a big yellow Gap wallet, please get in touch. Thanks Marcela
