  1. Just to say there are clearly marked (and really nice!) dog exercise areas in the park. They are all around the boundary of the park, under the trees, with clear tracks marked on the ground. It's a much more fun & interesting area for dogs than the concrete 'road' in the middle or sandy horse track so I'm really not sure why dog owners don't use the dog exercise areas? I love running on it & hardly ever see any dogs...
  2. Thanks everyone, really helpful!!
  3. Hi, is there anywhere locally that does passport pictures pls? Can't think where the nearest booth or photo shop is to ED? Thanks
  4. Really fantastic! We had a great afternoon ;)
  5. We have confirmed the next week day meet for those already on maternity leave will be Wednesday, 11th Dec at 3pm. The Great Exhibition, Crystal Palace Road. Hope to see you there. Caz x
  6. A couple of us went there last week for our mid week meet up. Shame I paid for my lime and soda ;) It has lots of seating and loads of parking on that road, so it's pretty convenient. Just a reminder there is a closed, private Facebook page too: East Dulwich Winter Babies
  7. I am so excited about this! My baby is due very soon and I know I'm going to become a regular to Big Fish!!!
  8. Sigh kittysailing, half the things posted on tho forum are 'first world problems' suggest if you're not keen on such things you're in the wrong place. Jollymummy, I would suggest that she's entitled to Xmas Day and Boxing Day off, as public holidays, e.g not from her annual leave entitlement. If she joins your family on these days she's a guest. Either side of them she either chooses to work & get paid, or take as annual leave. And she has the choice of coming with you, or spending it at your home alone or with a friend. If she chooses to stay at home, and you are away say 3 days- Xmas eve, Xmas day and Boxing Day then she needs to take 1 days leave (Xmas eve) if she comes with you, she works it.
  9. I contacted London Ambulance Service and they have said they will do one in my home for free. There will be 5 of us doing it, and I am just working out the details with them; might worth contacting them? My husband and I plan to give a donation to the charity in return as a thanks for thier time.
  10. Excellent news, I am doing my pregnancy yoga with Barbara on Saturday mornings and would love to do baby yoga in January after the birth.
  11. The new iPad mini (it's handbag sized!); some ballerina flats & perfume
  12. Hi I'm 8 months pregnant and looking to meet other mums / mums to be in the area. Does anyone know if the B&B group meets at St Faiths Centre in north Dulwich, as well as the ED one? Thanks! C
  13. Lovely afternoon & great to meet everyone. I'm a FB addict so sounds great to me, thanks Natalie. Caz x
  14. Hi just dropping in to say I am definitely going to come along tomorrow, and looking forward to meeting some of you. I was wondering how I would know who is from the winter babies club, but figured I would just go up to any ladies with a bump in Chandelier :) LOL See you tomorrow Caz
  15. I can do 6 October (not 28 Sept) Perhaps we could have two mini meet ups, one on each date, if some of us can make one and not the other? Edited to say I've just caught up on posts & seen two dates has already been suggested! You're ahead of me- great idea! Thanks for organising;) Caz
  16. I'll hopefully see you there too on Sunday! I went to the Gaia Studio yoga last Saturday and it was really good. Just to say that it was very busy and a few people were turned away at the door as it was oversubscribed, so so email ahead if you want to go. I'm going along tomorrow. Caz
  17. Bonfire I've been looking for a Sat or Sun class so I might pop along on Saturday. I've got a Thursday night class at my gym (JAGS) but find I'm too tired and hungry by 7pm, so it's not really working for me. Thanks for the info. Caz
  18. Hi ladies I am really pleased to have found this post. I am 23 weeks pregnant, due on 15 December. Although I do have friends with babies and small children, I am the first one in my close circle of friends whom is expecting. I am signed up for the October - November NCT class with Sarah Savaskan, is anyone else doing this one? I am also doing a Judith Flood hypno birthing class at Guys and St Thomas' in October (a lot of the classes were quite expensive, but we thought this one was not bad value). Probably like most of you I am registered with Kings. Have any of you given birth there before? I've generally heard good things. Anyway, wanted to pop on and say hi! Caz
  19. If you want great pulled pork, you have to go a little further afield in my opinion and head to Bowdean's in Clapham. Yum yum!
  20. He he there is a secret technique to opening the small gate, next to the big main gate pop the gallery ;) I had a personal trainer for a few months and he showed me. It involves using a stick in the gate lock, that's left near the gate! Seriously true!!!
