Carnegie Library Hub may close by December 2024.
sizemore replied to Keith.Whitworth's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sorry if I’m misreading this but isn’t the hub a separate entity that runs inside the library? They’re responsible for the hiring of rooms for parties etc and run local activities. So is it the hub that’s closing in December while the library itself will continue to run? Or is the building itself going to close? -
We awoke on Sunday to a leak dripping through our office ceiling. Despite it being a Sunday Aria popped over to check it out and soon traced the leak to years old bad plumbing left by the previous owner. He talked us through the fix and offered a very reasonable estimate. He stopped the leak before he left and was back the next day to do the job plus a few extra things we threw at him. Fast, efficient and friendly as ever. Cannot recommend his services enough.

We had a small kitchen plumbing issue but also a deadline as we were going away and Aria came over immediately to see what was needed, gave a more than fair quote and was back to do the job a few days later. The invoice was actually less than quoted. Speedy, polite and professional as always. Cannot recommend his services highly enough.

Strong recommendations from both the forum and our new neighbours don’t do Leon justice. He is the best electrician we’ve ever used. Fast, efficient and worth every penny. It’s a bonus that he’s so friendly and able to give good advice. Honestly can’t recommend him enough. If he’s busy it’s for a good reason and you’ll be better waiting for him to find you a slot than hire someone else. Possibly the best professional we’ve hired via the ED forum and we’ve been using it for 8 years. He did four tricky jobs for us and gave advice on another issue for a very reasonable price. He’s certainly the only electrician we’ll use from now on.

Aria is absolutely top notch. Great advice and got the job done super quick with zero fuss or mess. Has other people in the trade to call on when necessary and is quick to communicate and work around your schedule. Can’t recommend him enough.

We asked Lukasz to do a couple of jobs today and then added a few more as we’ve just moved house. Can’t recommend him enough. He was prompt and worked hard to get through our list and his costs are very reasonable. He cleaned everything up afterwards and we’ll certainly be using him again.

I have to admit that when the original thread on this subject was closed “as it was getting too personal, too vindictive, too "wrong"” I did worry that the new thread would peter out, but here we are, 70 pages later, and everyone on both sides is still as vexed as a wet hen. With no end in sight, well done to all involved! What stamina. Good luck and carry on the good fight!

Another recommendation for Aston. We had what I thought would be a tricky job but he had it done in no time. Prompt and cheerful. We?ll certainly be using him in the future.

Burgled last night (31st May 2019)

From PC Bush who investigated the break ins in the Herne Hill area after the guy was filmed on a Ring doorbell: ?A quick update on your burglary. We identified a suspect and he was circulated. He was apprehended committing another burglary in Wandsworth and was interviewed and charged with a number of burglaries in Wandsworth. He was recalled to prison and I am now in the process of getting approval to visit him in prison to put the offences to him around the Dulwich area.? -

Sorry to hear this. Looks like the same guy who tried doors up and down Frankfurt Road a few nights ago. Not the first time he?s been caught on video and reported to the police, but they?ve had no luck picking him up. -
Beautiful Bengal(ish) cat in Dulwich Park this morning
