  1. Hi all, as stated in my original thread, I was talking about communities as a whole. In addition I still own a place in ED which i rent out (pay council tax) and also have family that live in ED - surely that makes me able to comment. I see that keef and louisian govern this foram - are rude, post thousands of comments, print private messages and generally make their own rules. I set up a seprate thread to talk about solutions, many of you commented but the same old nothing better to do people jumped on it - despite me saying that it was not to cause personal abuse. maybe that is why we have problems, people just dont respect each other, and dont play by the rules. I have stated a few things that were taken out of context, that I have been educated on (i.e. listening to much to the media) for that i am sorry - for you lot having to listen to certain rambles from Keefy and his partner in dullness Lousiana I am sorry for that too
  2. Hi all, given the shocking news that occured over last weekend, I would be interested in getting your views on how we can improve our community. Your comments can be about, what involvement we should have as people, what are the problems are. It is not abour RIP's, venting anger at other peoples views or submitting countless emails on nothing, simply ideas and opinions on how we can help change it!!
  3. Dear Keef and Louise, despite numerous people asking you to stop using this to vent your individual feelings to those posting thread you continue, even publishing private messages sent to you - if you dont like them then delete them. I thought this thread was to air feelings regading events, I aired mine, and some agreed some did not. If I am worng educate me or ask me to explain my reasons - dont call me a 'troll' I have a right to speak my feelings!! I have in addition put some ideas in what a community/government needs to do. So please grow up, and have respect. I can see were this kids get there anger from!

Louisiana, indded as I suspect you are in many cases your wrong. I moveed to ED 7 years ago and joined the forum about 4 years ago. I havee commented on eveything from traffic to opening times of the library. Nice assumption though. Also if you can be bothered to read all my threads you see that their is context to what I said and at least I have posted some solutions! Not arguing about what the media are doing. C'mon we all know there is a problem with violence in our community, we all know that if is more apparent in certain groups of our community - be honest and we can look at the cure!
  5. Sorry Queenie did not get your post before I sent mine. How about this: Using information from Social services, and teachers (e.g.trunacy numbers) to identify those that are at risk! Giving them support road maps that help them respect themselves, each other - reward them for when they hit benchmarks of effort e.g tax relief, subsidised housing. Continued supprt to the age of 21. However, for those that are put on the support road and fail to adhere to it, or start to commit serious crime no more excuses. Named and shamed in local newspapers, benefit entitlements stopped, harder sentencing, harder prison environment - working in the community to pay it back.
  6. So still no solutions though much emphasis on what term to use. Amazing guys. still no doubt (and sadly) it will only be a matter of time before it happens again. Yes agree it violence can afect those caught in crossfire etc but the vast majority is in certain sections of our community namely gangs. Maybe keef the google guy can search the stats on that!!!!
  7. Ok so your all going its terrible - what are th solutions then!!! Or was this just a big shock!! Lets all send sympathy and agreeing messages to each other - that will prevent it. They shoot each other refers to gang v gang violence - or is that a myth as well?
  8. Dear oh dear, same blinkered people on here saying its London aint it we should expect it. Its happens because you allow it to happen. There was a man shot in daylight in ED not so long ago!! The things dont happen in Chelsea or Wimbledon - and they are in London. Until we start being honest and direct without fear of being labeled discrimination then its only goin got get worse. The good thing here is that they seem to only shoot each other. I liveed in ED for nearly 7 years, I felt more and more intimidated as tiem went on especially at night. The fianl straw was a group of lads literally kicking the front door in, at my flat when they thought no one was in with my wife asleep in bed. Thankfully we bought a house Sevenoaks instead of climbing the ladder in ED - totally different area and so much nicer It is sad that the person is so young.
