Delighted to see the back of it. They were snooty. I took a designer bag in there and was told by some 21 year old 'fashion expert' that it looked brassy. It looked anything but - it was Chlo?.

Has anyone else noticed this today? Barely anything coming out of the tap in the SE22 area...

Beer Drinking in the Goose Green Playground
rubyroo replied to DearBBC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
apart from all the typos I think I agree with Bermy -
I know they've been moved - because I went round and talked to the owner of said vehicles. If you want something done...don't write a note, don't moan online - go and tackle the issue head on. Result - my drive to school tomorrow will be so much safer - hopefully.

He was indeed....

I have spoken to the owner of the offending vehicle. Turns out he owns it and the other green beast that's parked right next to it at this busy intersection. He appeared massively unphased about the problem the white van causes road users. I asked him politely if he would be able to move it and he said he would think about it but wouldn't be minded to 'do it right away'. The galling thing is that it's across his 'driveway' and there's plenty of room for him to move it further up without any problem. Let's see what happens.

It's parked dangerously and it hasn't been moved for about 5 months.

It's a sorry state of affairs when one cinema goer (me) cannot lean over to her cinema going friend and pass comment about the aesthetic appeal of Matthias Schoenaerts without being barked at by an indignant woman to 'Stop talking please.' It's laughable and rather sad that someone's feathers can be so quickly ruffled especially as this was the only comment passed all night between my friend and I. This has in no way taken the edge off my first trip to our new cinema and I can't wait to go again.

To the owner of the huge white van that is permanently and I think dangerously parked at the intersection of Goodrich Road and Crystal Palace Road. Every single morning I have to inch out into Crystal Palace Road from Goodrich Road praying that someone isn't driving or cycling too fast down Crystal Palace Rd from the left hand side. Your 'van' (I have no idea what make it is it just says Razorback on the rear door) is always there. I appreciate you have to park it somewhere but please please move it a few metres along Crystal Palace Road and away from this busy intersection. Your reg by the way is GU02 ZNR. Thanks in advance.

Completely right Otta. Ludicrous for anyone to think that children shouldn't be ferried from A to B via bike. People can't help but jump in before fully comprehending some of the posts here I think.

To see them wobbling along Townley Road pretty regularly makes me feel uneasy. As a mother myself, I worry about what could happen in most eventualities where a child is concerned. Would it be rude to pull over and talk to the guy? I guess not. It is the most bizarre sight.

I quite regularly see a male cyclist going past Alleyn's school with a toddler seated on the back (in correct safety seat) but she has no helmet and the main concern is that Dad also has 2 dogs in tow who run along the road on their leads which Dad holds whilst attempting to steer. It looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Does anyone know them? One of the hounds is quite big and it surely wouldn't take much for it to either get spooked or see a cat/squirrel and pull the bike over. Thoughts?

On Thursday lunchtime I was driving home and passed a fairly heavy police presence at the above intersection. Struck me as odd but hey just wondered if anyone knows what was going on?

Plus let us not forget the woman who runs it is possibly the most unfriendly person I have come across in the field of catering - she'd be better suited working in a morgue

Why not TJ? I thought this was a forum where folk are free to air complaints?! Thank-you very much however for providing the contact details for the school. I have already spoken to them.

To those Goodrich School Parents who park their cars across driveways near the school - please don't. It's happening to me more and more frequently. I can't get in or out of my drive and it makes me late for things. I'm a patient person and I have children too so appreciate you are often running late. Thanks for reading this and please pass it on to GSP's who don't read the EDF.

Angry Driver who did U-turn and followed me update
rubyroo replied to rubyroo's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I don't know if he had dreadlocks. All I can say is I wish I'd taken a number from the side of his car but I was too scared. I'm away this week but will definitely be checking this thread upon my return. -

Ok well I have been contacted by another person on the receiving end of this man's behaviour. She described the exact same person I saw. Black, mid-thirties. Her description of the vehicle was exactly the same as mine. -

Orange Logo could be anything. I'm not sure how the rules of the forum go with regards to further descriptions around ethnic origin. Will I receive a tirade of angry mail if I proceed? -

I don't often use EDF Alan Medic so please accept my most heartfelt apologies if I've behaved improperly. Kind of thought it might be important to put out some more information. -
Seems I'm not the only Mum on the school run Mr.Angry has 'targeted'. Another Mum has contacted me after my post last night to say she's been on the receiving end of some of his particularly dangerous and erratic behaviour. Keep an eye out for this guy - small black car / orange logo in the Goodrich School area. Dangerous and hot headed...needs reporting to his boss if anyone can read the logo on his door.
-
To the utter back to front driving a small black car on Goodrich Road yesterday I hope you're reading this. You swung into Goodrich Road from Landcroft and proceeded to speed down it with your 2 drivers' side wheels on my side of the road. I stopped dead in my tracks (in my car) for 2 reasons. To draw attention to your shocking driving and to minimise any impact should our two vehicles collide. At this point you got seriously angry. Enough to do a U-turn and catch up with me as I approached Lordship Lane. As I crossed over it onto Townley Road you were level pegging with me (not remotely dangerous then) and proceeded to follow me down Townley. Did the sight of the police at the Alleyn's playing field scare you off or did you just see sense and realise what a total **** you were being. Seriously I feel sorry for you. By the way your tiny little car had orange logo on the doors. Would love to see you again soon so I can note it down.

Washing machine mystery - can anyone offer an explanation?
rubyroo replied to Cam123's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I am adding my voice to the growing list of Spin Doctor plaudits. I have a Miele washing machine that has been pumping out the most foul smelling sulphorous odours of late. Called him yesterday evening - he came at 1300 today and has fixed it. Quick, friendly and brilliant service.
