Worth a look! Yea Ganahathi is really great. Their dal is so nice and doesn't leave you feeling greasy on the inside like a lot of the cack from high street curry houses, which as the OP said, is far to salty/sugary/greasy. Personally, I just like making my own because is so easy once you get a few recipes you like, plus you can guarantee that it has no ghee in it (gf is vegan).

It's clear that when designing the camouflaged cycle route aesthetics were the main concern over anything else like functionality etc. At the absolute bare minimum all they need to do is to paint white lines like they do on all other shared cycle/pedestrian pavements. Won't cost much and may make it much clearer for everyone. Ideally painting the surface a different color altogether will benefit all.
  3. Good evening EDF! Can anyone recommend a plumber/boiler repair-person to come have a look/fix our gas combi-boiler? Our is only working intermittently and is beginning to get annoying! Thanks in advance
  4. Yea I always give a false one. There's no need for it whatsoever, and just a way to collect more data from you so they can say useless things like "people of X age range like Y on Sundays" or something similar.
  5. We have this problem at our house as well, especially the corners folded on records they have delivered to the point where the spine was snapped on a gatefold LP! That's pretty hard to do at the best of times! We either have folded letters or practically opened mail coming thought at the moment.
  6. Fully up for driver-less cars. It's already happening anyway: Self parking cars Cruise control Reversing sensor aids for drivers Self steering in some models Cameras In-car navigation telling you where to turn etc. It's all progress that would have been scoffed at even 20 years ago and it's getting more tech in a car which will eventually be all tied together as one unit.
  7. yea tonight there is a filled in trench 1m long extending from the corner of the junction between Choumert and Bellenden rd. It only needs a small bit of tarmac on. That's all. Not even in the road or owt. They could have finished that off today and removed the lights or not had them in the first place. Overkill to say the least.

They guys hasn't even apologised for it or even acknowledged that he's been a fuckwit. All he has done is joked that he's like Santa cos he's got the sack. He's not even deleted the all of his original tweets relating to it, leaving the one that makes him out the be the victim. What a twat.
  9. That's awful, and totally shocking. I'm so sorry to hear that is happened to you. Besides being spat on a couple of times, I've had nothing like this while cycling. Hopefully they catch the person and put a stop to it.

  11. My neighbor's one was pretty wild back at the start of summer, so I just got the hedge trimmer and took it back about 1 meter so it was level with the wall and our hedge (after making sure no birds was nesting in it). Didn't do the top or owt cos that's not my business and I don't care what it looks like. They did the top within days haha!

Ha yea the underworld smells so bad around the toilets (and so do loads of the metal pubs around that area to be fair). It's been done up in the last couple of months and is all shiny and new. Wonder how long that lasts though ha
  14. As well as being totally reckless on the road and dressed like cycle ninjas in the night, Deliveroo kinda annoys me in other aspects. Was having a quiet meal last Friday at the Thai place on lordship lane and was constantly having to speak up to talk because the deliveroo staff(?) were all lounging around the restaurant like it was their own front room, shouting to each other, playing music on their phones etc. This has happened at a couple of places, and really puts a downer on the meal for me being constantly interrupted and being barged by when they come in collecting their stuff. Don't get me wrong, everyone has to earn money etc and restaurants certainly get an extra outlet, but it's just badly managed in a lot or places imo.
  15. Ahh so that explains why my friends are coming round mine for a shower! They are on LL end or Fiern rd (not sure how to spell it!)

Shocking. Kind of why I don't really like going to cod fellas anymore. Don't get me wrong, they are lovely people and the food is good; but the wait is insanely long if there are more than 3 people in the queue. I've waited in there at least 25mins for a small portion of chips the last three times, which is crazy. Two of which people who came in way after me got service first because they were ordering fish. Basically smaller orders get forgotten for many reasons (had a long time to observe waiting haha). I'll go back because the food's good, but not if there's more than 3 people already waiting.
  18. Thanks, and complete with travel advice too! I'm thinking of hopping on my bike and making a bit of a road trip: that way I can justify the three pickled eggs I plan to eat as well.
  19. Got a massive urge to eat fish and chips, what's your opinion of the best around? I live 2 seconds from Cod Fellas on Bellendend Rd, which is alright, but I wanna try somewhere else. Give me you thoughts!
  20. Agree too, it's so much more relaxed and means when I get home I don't need my 'chill out' because of the stress of cycling near cars in rush hour. Really great to see people of all types on it too, and not just a racetrack for the lycra clad folk!

If there was no train and you had to pay for other transport then how can they not give you a full refund? Is there a local newspaper that can take this story maybe? I was going to claim back my non-journey the otherday because the train was too overcrowded two times in a row, but it's not worth it.
  23. Yea I was thinking of popping around tonight if she is in to check if she is ok etc.
  24. So in regards to her health: I think she likes a drink, or whatever else may be her substance of choice. The previous tenant was a crack addict and we used to have all manner of crazies there all times of the day screaming up at her window to let them in; in relative terms this is pretty tame. Still sucks having having whether you get to sleep one night in the hands of other people.
