  1. James are you guaranteeing that there won't be any new yellow lines as part of this proposal (particularly on the north side of Chesterfield which currently has no lines at all)?
  2. Will Southwark actualy pay any mind to the consultation? I get the impression they are obliged to consult but will implememt their chosen agenda regardless of the responses.
  3. The prime motivating factor seems to be to eliminate private car ownership
  4. If it would please you, Alice, I could change the title of the thread?
  5. "@crowngreyhound on Twitter Dulwich.... It's been emotional! 915 days ago"
  6. They've even taken down the sign ion the hoarding that had the continually changing expected opening date on it. It's like they've given up hope!
  7. The cemeteries are looking so much better in those recent photos.
  8. I'm guessing there will be build outs to make it impossible for delivery lorries to turn the corner without driving across the pavement, 30 metres of double yellow lines on all sides of the junctions, a raised table entry with chinese granite to improve the user experience and a few cycle parking facilities to help the environment. I tried to find the plans on Southwark's website that I would have thought MGTAC must have been required to submit to obtain funding but couldn't see them. Interestingly what the website does say about CGS funding is that grants are to be implemented and project managed by the incorporated association that applied for funding[ERRONEOUS REFERENCE TO ?5K DELETED] . So it won't be the council that oversees these works. Since writing this I've checked the CGS application page again and see that I misread it. the link is here:http://www.2.southwark.gov.uk/info/200256/cleaner_greener_safer/3871/cgs_capital_grants_application_process
  9. Maybe they are refugees from the scorched earth wasteland that used to be known as the One Tree Hill National Wildfowl Park?
  10. Don't you think the cemetery is going to be reinvigorated by these works and so will be a wonderful place to be buried once they are complete?
  11. ED station to the closest edge of the city in 20 minutes would mean an average speed of 12 mph, faster than the average speed of traffic in London
  12. Was Xoco really a chain? I'm surprised by that because there was no outrage at all at the furthe domination of lordship lane by chain shops when it opened!
  13. The man in that video says he is not on One Tree Hill? "Remember we're not on one tree hill" at 1'51.
  14. Have you ever tried to get on a tube from Clapham between 8 and 9 in the morning?
  15. But the great view must be improved with less trees blocking the sight lines?
  16. Cameron, many thanks for bring this to our attention, this is great news for Southwark and I for one congratulate the council
  17. The street food on offer in North Cross Road is in my mind the hog roast, the greek style grill, the cheese toastie stall, the hot dog stall etc. All fairly standard European street food.
  18. This problems seems simply to have moved the Crystal Palace Road end of this estate.
  19. Sounds like you've got a big budget. This might give you some ideas... http://champions-speakers.co.uk/
  20. Cost push inflation is just one aspect of it but you are right, it is sometimes (not always) off set by an increase in productivity. However, more money in the system also causes demand pull inflation. If everybody suddenly has more to spend and an imbalance between demand and supply occurs, pushing up prices.
  21. "Ideally everyone would be in receipt of the LLW. " Erm, wouldn't that just cause rampant inflation, pushing up the cost of living beyond the so-called LLW?
  22. Surely you mean "Nunhead Forest and Safari Park" rather than "Nunhead Cemetery"?
  23. Newspapers only print what their readership will pay to read. They aren't running the country, they are running a business where the more people view what they write the more money they make. If they write stuff people don't want to read they quickly go bust.
