  1. Lots of self-pwning going on here.
  2. Only a very small amount of carbonic acid is produced when water is carbonated. Most of the carbon dioxide remains in solution rather than reacting with the water. When the CO2 leaves solution it returns to its gaseous state in the form of thousands of tiny little bubbles.
  3. Have prices ever not been overinflated feoma buyer's perspective?
  4. The actress often shows nfl on sudnay evening when tbey arent showing english football might be worth calling them about a specific game.
  5. Bob, I'm not sure it will feel very festive as the opportunity for being seen to be buying a big salmon at the fish counter in a supermarket is marginal. You might have to offset that by camping outsude a cheese shop the night before to get properly into the spirit
  6. It's not investing in the business though, it's just making a donation to it.
  7. Gary Usher's campaigns have been to finance new openings on new sites and have not been without their own criticism. For an existing restaurant I think it would be more honest to tap up your loyal supporters by charging more on the menu than raising so called Kickstarter money.
  8. They've taken the "begging" but of their brand too literally for me.
  9. Fair enough re children needing to cross the road but i dont think saying that the crossing is needed because people are drinking near by will win much sympathy!
  10. I guess it started rotting before it looked being worth anything like 800k. As it is Id be surprised if the value is much above 200k.
  11. Maybe these parents should take a bit more responsibility and not get so drunk they can't get their children safely across the road.
  12. Sounds like the pub has some very ungrateful employees.
  13. I thought the southwark spine was going to run down crystal palace road? Can they actually run it down barry road with all the buses there?
  14. You;re planning to sell it? How much for?
  15. Housing development is good for the council because it means more council tax and more business rates from the associated shops and supermarkets. If they have to contribute to the cost of transport it is better for them to do it in an area where they will see some return in the long term. The prospects of covering those costs by increasing tax revenues in the same way in a fully developed area full of nimby's such as East Dulwich are very low. Same goes for Boris bikes. It's much better value for the council to let those new disruptors whose biokes are just left anywhere on the pavement provide dockless bike hire rather than have to fork out for boris bike infrastructure .
  16. Rahrah, dropped kerbs mean fewer parking spaces on thd road and more yellow lines under the new plan which means more parking pressure. More parking pressure means people clamouring for a pay to use controlled zone. It is nudge theory and they have become exceedingly good at it.
  17. "Posted by Abe_froeman 18 May, 2017 11:30 I don't think Southwark make much effort to hide the fact they are anti private car ownership and would like to make a lot more money out of people who insist on having their own car."
  18. I think some of you have forgotten that you live in Zone 2 of Central London.
  19. How about putting all three on the Dulwich Hamlet Promotion Roundabout?
  20. Ddboy i can assume you are trolling. Never in the history of mankind has a business enticed customers away from a competitor or avoided closing down by doubling thier prices. Commissions, if they mive at all, will move with house prices, not in the opposite direction.
  21. and the height seems to be pretty much the same as what is there now: http://planbuild.southwark.gov.uk/documents/?GetDocument=%7b%7b%7b!uaHXqRBXz2eWMwfaVjFA2Q%3d%3d!%7d%7d%7d
  22. Anything at all would be better than what is there now imo.
  23. It's worse than that Ed, because the individuals who make the sale are competing against each other to earn 10% of that 2% commission. So for the individual agents it's the difference between ?2000 that might never materialise and ?1800 cash this month that a colleague might take off you by closing the sale now at a lower price.
