the "needs cooking" bit is surprising.

rahrahrah before you troll anyone else with your never-ending and ludicrous demands for more sources and more evidence, will just come clean and admit that there no data whatsover could ever be published by anybodywhatsoever that would convince you that the LTNs in Duliwch are a failure. At least if you were honest about that you would save yourself and everyone else you harangue an awful lot of time.

The boom was in some cases equivalent to an increase from 1 cyclist to2 cyclists 100% more people cycling wow!!!

How will the ULEZ be enforced in ED?
Abe_froeman replied to Sunglasses's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
A parked car has no emissions. "When to pay If you drive within the zone, you'll have to pay by midnight on the third day following the journey. " https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone/ulez-payments -

How will the ULEZ be enforced in ED?
Abe_froeman replied to Sunglasses's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We figured we'd have to make about 800 journeys to buy a car as good as the one we have that is ULEZ compliant. So we will stick with our non-ULEZ car and pay as needs be -
Frontages on F H Road shopping parade

They're probably just closing off the road and putting in an outdoor opera house. -

Any clues, please, moovart? -
Very helpful P3 Girl. If the council had a conscience they would revoke every fine they have issued at that junction.

"Sealioning is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with persistent requests for evidence or repeated questions, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity. It may take the form of "incessant, bad-faith invitations to engage in debate". Sealioning thus works both to exhaust a target's patience, attention, and communicative effort, and to portray the target as unreasonable. While the questions of the "sea lion" may seem innocent, they're intended maliciously and have harmful consequences."

You're a sealion

Of course they will be strongly opposed when the only replacement mode of transport that is mandated is a bicycle. If your only goal is to get people to sell cars and buy bikes and your only strategy to achieve that is close roads and sealion the people who are upset about the very negative impact that has on them, then of course you will find that you can't persuade a single person to come and join your cult.

Our LTNs were not put in for environmental reasons. The sole justification was covid. It had to be qualify for the money the Tory government was handing out.
-
There is no pandemic now though. All covid restrictions have been lifted (except those imposed by Southwark Council it seems). You are right to point out that these LTNs were implemented under the pretence that they would help social distancing (even though you claim all the shops were closed anyway) but now that we are out of the other side there is no longer any global pandemic justification for keeping them
-
In both instances it is very difficult and inconvenient to get the shops . In one case because there is no public transport access and private cars are now banned and in the other due to the huge amounts of traffic generated by the so-called LTNs causing huge delays to both private and public transport.
-
Whose benefit is that system for though? Seems to the only people it helps are those trying to catch and fine people who park there for more than 31 minutes or more.

ha ha!

Yes my bus lane would work like that Hamburg scheme but it would be permanently down the middle of the road. Car drivers wouldn't need to worry about confusion because they would never be allowed in it and the bus drivers would know about the timings from their route training
-
Southwark Council could lobby TFL, the Labour Mayor of London and the Labour London Assembly member for a rail replacement bus service in Southwark (it doesn't need to go into or have the backing of any other counties) to help constituents in Southwark travel on public transport. Or they could just give up like you suggest. Maybe get a cavalcade of high powered motor cars to take them on 4.5 mile journeys instead of trying to use non-existent trains and buses. Like this: www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2021/08/22/congestion-charge-hypocrite-sadiq-khan-takes-three-car-convoy/
-
The bus pulls in at the bus stop just like it does everywhere else.
-
There are so many alternatives that would increase public transport amenity but the cycle lobby have somehow got the council's ear and persuaded them that these LTNs (that go nowhere) will force everyone to see the light and take up cycling. They could have improved the buses on East Dulwich Grove and Lordship Lane by taking out some parking and putting a bus lane right down the middle of the road, that operates one way in the morning rush hour and the other way in the evening. All those car drivers sitting in a queue of traffic being overtaken by bus after bus after bus might then think again about taking their children to school in the car.

Don't worry Malumbu if you do succeed in getting this lounged we will just start it again. LTNs have caused so much strife to residents of East Dulwich (i.e. not you) that we will continue to discuss them until they are resolved.
-
NM the start t that problem is to end the council's ridiculous ban on building car parking. For instance the new housing that will be built on Greendale could easily have accommodated sufficient underground car parking for the whole estate but the council made it a planning condition that no car parking whatsoever would be provided for the 250 homes to be built there. End that stupid policy and the problem disappears.
