  1. And the person responsible for the dog has committed an offence. https://www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/campaign/dogownership/bsl/dda
  2. Just report it to the police. That dog should be destroyed now it has bitten.
  3. There is nothing less realistic than suggesting that a pound shop chain would consider 1) opening up in the disused jaflong restaurant site and 2) applying for planning permission to change the use from empty restaurant to tiny niche shop.
  4. I think one would have to have been more wealthy to dine a Jaflong than at 500 degrees. The cheapest main course I can find on the current Jaflong takeaway menu (and I assume dining in costs more)is ?6 25pence. Compared to ??5 35pence to dine in at 500 Degrees. Regardless, it is a good thing for all the other businesses in Lordship lane (apart form maybe franco manca) that a restaurant that has laid empty for tree years will now have a tennant.
  5. James, is the redacted data in the final CPZ report going to be the same data you privately sent to select individuals or will it be different?
  6. I think 500 degrees will need a mush smaller kitchen than an INdian restaurant would do. The space in their Herne Hill restaurant is also quite cosy but the pizza is excellent. It is good value too (?5.35 for a Marinara, ?6.95 for a Margarita).
  7. Ole! I did have the same experience as someone else earlier in the thread, twice. popped in passing by, hoping for some lunch and drinks and both times the kitchen was closed, so we didn't stay.
  8. I really think they needed a consistent reliable food offering to tempt people to make the journey and spend a longer period of time up there.
  9. Might also be because so many dog keepers round here don't train their animals are quite happy to let them shit anywhere and everywhere and attack anything going.
  10. "clear up your dog's mess and keep them on a lead" https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parks-and-open-spaces/parks/dawson-s-hill
  11. Hopefully when the new pizza restauarant opens they will put in nice big sliding windows at the front so all the wealthy foodies can strike look-at-me poses for the hoi poloi who have come to see then eating posh cheese in toast.
  12. " Jogging around & staring gormlessly as drama kicks off is clearly the new East Dulwich look." This made me chcukle
  13. What exactly is the " 500 Degrees style of Chain pizzerias "? They have 3 restaurants in Brixton, Herne Hill and Crystal Palace. They're hardly a chain at all more like a small group of local restaurants. Franco Manca on the other hand have approximately 50 restaurants scattered all over the country.
  14. But this site was restaurant, then an empty restaurant and now it will be a restauarant again. I dont think it was ever a shop people can use. And the restaurant that was there is just round the corner still so, net net, you still have the restaurant that was there (that people can use) and a second new restuarant (that more people will use).
  15. Jaflong hasnt been closed for 2 years and replaced by a pizza shop. Jaflong moved its business to an adjoining road and left an empty restuarant behind that has fallen into disrepair. A new employer is taking over an empty retaurant creating working class jobs and selling a traditional Italian peasant food.
  16. The rarebit in Franklins is sublime. We still have fewer pizza restaurants than 'Indian' restaurants. 500 degrees also have a restaurant in Herne Hill which is very good indeed (better than Franco Manca in my opinion)
  17. Did those houses in Upland rd actually sell in the end?
  18. They are on some street lamps matey
  19. The new tenants are part of the Enterprise Inns corporate group according this: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11217220/persons-with-significant-control
  20. And the councillor that supported that scheme lost his appointment at the next opportunity...
  21. Looks like EI are becoming quite vindictive in all of this row https://www.instagram.com/p/BxehbI1nofX/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Seems they've granted a new lease to a vehicle called "Old Spot Pubs" which is actually just a subsidiary of Enterprise Inns.
  22. How much are you paying?
