  1. To Raharah, re "registered vehicles" You've cherry picked one of the worst recessions ever as your starting point and compared it with four years where the economy is booming. Is no wonder your campaign just doesn't wash with people outside your lobby when you use such one sided data
  2. Of course they do but sone of them add to it by keeping pet dogs that would not otherwise exist.
  3. Dogs should be banned in London. They are an environmental catastrophe. The average dog has the same carbon footprint as a range rover, on top of the problems with theor owners failing to clean up after them.
  4. Just close it altogehter with flower beds.
  5. Stecoward please can you tell us which bus8ness you work for so we can campaign to prevent it from having vehicular access and hopefully shut it down. Sorry about your job etc.
  6. Some of you need to think about what you are being brain washed with. " 1 in 7 car journeys in London is under 1km - this isn't sustainable. Making the car the least convenient option and at the same time creating safer spaces for people to walk and cycle is essential." To stop those 1 in 7 so-called unsustainable trips your only thinking is that the 6 in 7 long journeys should also be made to queue, engines idling, starting and stopping creating more particle emissions than is necessary etc. Saying all car journeys should be forced into traffic so that 1/7th of them might be made by bicycle is just brainless.
  7. Looks like this was a London assembly transport committee decision after consukting with the borough but it really isnt easy to find documents on their website. Parking restrictions may only actually be 7am to 7pm.
  8. You're welcome James. Those surgeries adervtised in your sign off, are they still going on?
  9. I can't imagine they didn't consult the council though, and the councillor responsible for our roads
  10. If not it was tfl. Sadiq Khan is in charge of tfl.
  11. If they weren't maintained then it's logical they wouldn't have been used.
  12. We might as well go back to feudalism if everyone has to get around on foot, or if they're very wealthy by donkey, as the wind-back-progress tea party people of dulwich would have it.
  13. Only blue badge parking will be retained so it sounds like there will be double red lines on the west side of Lordship Lane all the way from William Rose up to East Dulwich Grove. That means dozens more car parking spaces will be lost next week on top of the new CPZ.
  14. You couldn't make it up. As if they haven't done enough damage to our local transport system ffs. https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/24-7-bus-lanes-for-major-southwark-roads-including-tower-bridge-road-and-borough-high-street/ Starts on Sunday. Don't get caught out!
  15. I would also support the reopening of those closed roads, but fear hat at this moment the council would use that campaing as a dilution of the message that these recent closures are utterly ill conceived and totally inappropriate.
  16. Huge sympathies to you and I hope for your business that they knock this idiotic scheme on the head in very short order.
  17. You can't seriously be comparing Melbourne Grove with Northcote Rd?
  18. Tennis courts and a little bar would be great
  19. It's carnage! Lots of rat running down Zenoria street so expect that to blocked off soon too.
  20. "Main roads busy at rush hour, who?d have thought... shock horror!" The whole point of these schemes is supposed to be to stop people driving altogether, not just to shunt them onto main roads (or so their proponents say). If there is still traffic but it's just move elsewhere then the schemes have failed.
  21. Living up to you're name all over the forum Shrieker. What's made you so angry you've had to sign up here to vent??
  22. "There are high levels of traffic during rush hour, but it was always so" So these measure have already failed.
  23. The kiss of death for the businesses and sports club in dulwich village.
  24. He seems to be in a position to communicate ok from this outlet: I guess we were just very lucky that our past councillors had a lot of stamina for this forum.
