This is relentless tonight So noisy. I wish the watermelons in Tooley St and City Hall would do something about the awful noise and air pollution caused by planes in this area instead of carrying on their poitnless war on road junctions.

Anyone know why M&S Lordship Lane closed early?

Was there anything on twitter? I did check but couldn't see anything at all yesterday. Lady Milhaven, you might be correct. I was just guessing the time tbh. Fire engines could have been around 3. There is no cold stock in there at all today really so I would guess their sub transformer blew and the fridges went out. -

There were some fire engines out the back earlier around by the cer wash at about 5pm. Might have been related. -
Yeah, I cycle a fair bit in London. The main factor that puts me off idoing it more is other cyclists. It's the professional commuters that are the worst. On race bikes in lycra doing their daily Tour de la Office. The best cyclists tend to be Boris bikers // other renters // amateurs on sit up and beg bikes. The worst are those who are throroughly committed to cycling. They go through red lights, push people off the road, cycle on the pavement, weave into oncoming traffic and give everyone else a bad name. I had some 5star s**t in clip on shoes actually lean on me going round a bend in the road once to speed himself up. Absolute bell end.

Is that music the Gala festival already?

Are southwark good at paying attention to the consultation responses from the emergency services when it comes to closing road for cyclists, like Calton Avenue etc? -
Who could possibly have guessed that might happen.
-
I only know one doctor down that wa,y Northern Monkey, and they drive a Porsche to and from the office every day. Wouldn't be seen dead on a bike.

As if the council give two hoots beyond collecting any fees they may have agreed to license out our roads or footpaths.
-
It must be out there somewhere and easy to find if they were really going to spend £1,800,000 to divert that traffic away from a few cyclists in the middle of a cost of living crisis. Perhaps one of the lycra warriors on here would be kind enough to link us up to that data.

It's pretty antisocial to start it so loud during working hours FFS!
-
Pretty high when a thread starts off talking about the cabinet member for streets?
-
We get to give more of our money to them. That is the benfit to us. It was obvious two years ago when they accidentally published that document that were coming for the roads that aren't CPZ yet. They will. Regardless of what people who pay for them actually want.

jamesmcash Member 330 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Abe_froeman I believe you're referring to a paper that was wrongly published, without the knowledge of either local ward councillors or the relevant Cabinet Member. There are no plans to implement a further CPZ in East Dulwich.

It's not positive, it's an absolute sh!tshow as the many thousands of consultation replies amply demonstrated.

I find it utterly hypocritical in light of how his fellow councillors are prepared to galsight and ignore vast swathes of their own constituents .
