Only a few packs of four at DKH last night, not sure if they've re-stocked.

It was nuts last night. No loo roll, rice, tinned pulses, dried pasta, ibuprofen, paracetamol, chicken, sanitary products, antibac wipes..... And no large trolleys, probably to prevent people from stock piling but annoying when just back from holiday and needed to do a big shop. By comparison, the Little Waitrose in Vauxhall, fully stocked!

For an easy and tasty substitute, I use lentils, usually tinned green sometimes mixed with the more expensive black beluga ones instead of mince in cottage pie and bolognese. Just add them in after you've cooked up the usual mix of onion/garlic/celery (personally I don't add carrots as they are pure evil)

I'm on hold with them now. Been waiting since the 18th September for a first class package, another package ordered on 25th still not arrived. Also a magazine subscription which wasn't even posted through the letter box, just flung on to the welcome mat. -
We took my 12 year old nephew on the Thames Rib Experience last summer. He absolutely loved it (he's a premature moody teen ; www.thamesribexperience.com For an evening out how about Backyard Cinema at MERCATO METROPOLITANO, you can mooch about beforehand in the market, loads of amazing food. Easy to get to too (40 or 176 bus)

I'm on Rodwell and it's lovely. As a street it's super quiet as it's not a cut through and doesn't even get too busy with parents parking up for drop off/pick up at Heber. Parking is fine, can get busy in the evenings but I can always get a space a few yards from the house if not bang outside. My Mum always marvels at how peaceful it is whenever she come to stay. I've got great neighbours and everyone is friendly. Good location for primary schools, surgery on Crystal Palace road only a few minutes walk. You can be on Lordship Lane in minutes so great for Cinema, shopping, eating out etc. Houses vary in size from one side of the road to the other. Ours is probably one of the smaller being a standard 2 story terrace but the loft was converted and kitchen extended into the side return before we moved in so it's a good size 4 bed. Garden is a small patio but I don't think that's uncommon in our area of ED. We looked at A LOT of houses before we settled on Rodwell, to be honest we didn't have limitless choice as we bought when people were going a bit mental and places were going to sealed bids and in an ideal world we'd like a slightly bigger hall and an extra half foot or so width in the reception room but that's being super picky. It's a great house, a pretty road with beautiful blossom in the spring and a brilliant location. -
Separated at birth ;) Oh and just had a flash back to those weird frozen mousses. Super Mousse! that was it!

Ooo where to start! Freezer staples of Birds Eye Chicken Pies, Chicken and Ham Findus Crispy Pancakes which I have searched in vain for nowhere to be found, not even Iceland :( Stuffing the car for holidays in France: Tinned Chicken in White Sauce and tinned Chicken Curry (M&S natch) Tinned Potatoes, Tinned Petit Pois and Carrots, Beef and Crab Shippam?s Paste, Frey Bentos Pies, Vesta Curries and the Chow Mien with the magic crispy noodles, Heinz Cream of Celery Soup (double gagg) Baked Beans and Pork Sausages Weirdly we ate really well in France so I?ve no idea why my parents insisted on bringing a load of tinned food that inevitably didn?t get eaten. Puddings: Chocolate and Butterscotch Angel Delight, Pearce Duff?s Blancmange (usually the Vanilla one GAGG), Ice Magic, Arctic Roll, Vienetta. Me and the other half still keep a stash of Angel Delight in the cupboard for a treat.....sometimes topped with squirty cream. mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Genuinely saddened by the results. Thank you James for your sterling efforts. You'll be hard act to follow. -
