  1. Hi everyone I just wanted to share my debut single and its official video with you all as we're all neighbours. I lost pretty much all my work because of COVID but luckily it gave me the time to learn how to produce music. So I've just released my first ever single and decided to create a music video for it too :) You'll recognise the underside of Peckham Arch (it's very zoomed in haha) and the entrance to Peckham Levels. I hope you enjoy! I'd love to know what you think of it! Gaby
  2. Oooh yes indeed, thank you for the link, will email them all :)
  3. Hi everyone! I'm a resident of East Dulwich and work for a charity called Action for Happiness. Another local resident and I are very keen to volunteer to host the Exploring What Matters course for our ED community. It entails 2h of meeting on an a week-day evening (7-9pm for example) for 8 consecutive weeks. We aim to start around the beginning of January 2020. https://www.actionforhappiness.org/the-action-for-happiness-course We tried to find a venue to make it happen this Autumn but weren't successful. Does anybody have an exotic idea of a suitable sounding venue we may not have thought of? Cheap and cheerful is what we're after :) Please send me any ideas you may have! Here's the list of places we contacted and who can't host it: 57 (Suzanne James) Dulwich Library East Dulwich Community Centre East Dulwich Tavern Goose Green Centre Grove Vale Library Rye Books The Castle Pub The Clockhouse Pub The Lordship Pub
  4. Let me know if they're yours x
  5. Oops, in which case I'll see you at the next one then. 13th October is my 28th birthday!
  6. I know no-one in the area and I'm always up for a curry, so please count me in if it happens on the 11th!
  7. Apparently not a joke. An engineer knocked on my door and said "are you having internet problems?!" He explained that he'd had to unplug all our cables from the local hub (not sure where this is, I live next to Barry Road.) He then replugged all cables one at a time to find which one was causing "noise" and therefore pinpointed the issue as coming from my house. He came inside and immediately noticed that the cables were loose so managed to fix it really quickly. He said that the more technological things become the harder it is to manage. I agreed as it seems utterly ridiculous that my faulty cables should create such havoc for the neighbourhood!
  8. Sooooooo, it should work now for all of you on Virgin. When our cleaner hoovered the living room yesterday it loosened our broadband cables and created "noise" that got amplified along the network (engineer said all the way to Lewisham?!) Sorry guys! Check your cables are tight next time Virgin is down!
  9. Hello everyone My name is Gaby, I've been lurking on this site since I moved to ED a year and a half ago but never dared contribute. Now here I am! I thought it would be worth me sending out feelers on here since I often hear musicians practising in their homes when I'm walking around (I live next to Barry road). Would any of you be tempted to play some music in the view of hopefully performing in some of our local caf?s? I might be completely deluded but as we say in France "Qui ne tente rien n'a rien!" I guess I'm looking for jazzy pop/poppy jazz but frankly there's not many genres I don't like so do please get in touch if you'd be interested. (I hope I posted in the right section.) Bye for now Gaby
