yes- builders put in a temp kitchen in our son's bedroom (this was also being refurbished). We relied on a portable electric hob thing that we bought from IKEA only ?35 and made sure that anything that needed to be cooked didn't need to go in an oven. They plumbed in our w machine. Don't assume all schools choose by distance! For example if you have a boy and you are Catholic you can apply for Cardinal Vaughn in Holland Park (Times secondary school of the year 2018). Check the criteria- you never know.

Hi We are taking the kids to do The Golden Triangle in India this Summer. So they will get to see Jodhpur (the pink city), Jaipur (the blue city) and Agra- which of course has The Taj Mahal! So if you haven't booked- think again.

Hi All depends if you have a son or daughter. Best one for Girls would be Coloma in Croydon but to be eligible you have to be baptised within 3 months (could be wrong). If you have a boy the 2 best schools are the Oratory and Cardinal Vaughan. Again very strict criteria to get in but worth it. CVMS- this year had 124 places but I gather there is a waiting list of 600! CVMC is The Sunday Times School of the Year (no surprise if you visit you will see why).
