Just to say that I'll be doing my new stall (Dulwich Crease) on North Cross Road this Saturday - I'll be selling origami Advent calendars (?7.50) and origami present boxes (?5.75).

Isn't it going to be split into two halls adjoining houses?

Interim appointment: Father Bill Jacob (former Archdeacon of Charing Cross and Rector of St Giles in the Fields). Bit of an academic I think.

yes, those shops on Rye Lane in Peckham do hair braids and dreads and similar hairstyles.

Thank you for that advice - the mix of sand/cement - is that 'Roofers' mix' I need to make?

Bob of the Junk emporium is fab - he did my fireplace in the front room for me at a reasonable price and I was pleased with the finished result, though I didn't actually like the fireplace I picked. I burn kiln-dried logs mostly and occasionally house coal.

*Bob* some people say I am your alter ego.

How lovely, a fellow confined person, I had no idea you are also confined. It's quite frustrating as I do have valid local concerns and opinions as I'm sure you do too.

I want to do what local people do - origami shop

I was also thinking of adding Japanese clothes folding as I've seen some Japanese people tend to fold their clothes in a very particular style. -
I noticed the other day that the pointing on my chimney stack needs doing. It doesn't look like too big a job. I've got a long enough ladder to get onto the roof so I was thinking of doing it myself. Has anyone else had experience of pointing? Can it be a DIY job or do I need to call someone proper like Dulwich Construction?

I am no troll despite being confined to the Lounge.

I have two children at private senior school and one at an outstanding state primary as I can't afford to send him to a prep school. I nearly did send the middle one to a state secondary school then decided against it at the last minute. I think a mix of private / state schooling over a 14-year school life cycle is ok.

Some advice please - my family and I have a 6-berth Vango tent with a front canopy. We often go camping to the Fort over the summer and have noticed over the past few years that more people are camping in traditional bell tents there and those families often look quite happy and carefree. Should I ditch the Vango and get a bell tent? I'm worried that in contrast to the Vango they are heavy, difficult to fold without creasing, and slow to dry out. Does anyone have any experiences of camping in a bell tent they can share?

???? I think I would do school hours for the shop Tuesday to Friday and then a little bit longer on Saturdays. But thinking about that it has put me off the idea of having another sprog - so I'll just no to my wife if she mentions it again.

No - my bike is cool. I keep it in the bedroom so I can look at it as I go to sleep.

I am no parody. 100k is reasonable enough and we are comfortably off. She currently gives me ?1500 per month for shopping and all the kids stuff. She pays everything else. I actually used to work in the City on a good mint, but have given that up to be totally locally-based in ED, so I'm thinking of what I could do, though I've had a couple of ideas for a stall on NX Rd and also a shop on LL.

Yes, she works for one those foundations masquerading as a charity that big companies have to demonstrate their social concern values - still she earns 100k per year so I can't complain (and it means I can stay at home).

I am no wind-up, I'm a bona fide resident of East Dulwich (unlike some who post on here) with genuine concerns and ideas - I do like the public discourse of the EDF, so I prefer to share my concerns and ideas here.
