  1. But I've seen them in Oliver Bonas - is ?120 too much?
  2. Cranes do not require planning permission as they are temporary structures typically erected for 28 days or less - hence the lack of consultation

Please note this Forum is strictly for discussing matters geographically encompassed within ED, so please do not post about Camberwell here, albeit adjacent to ED. Thank you
  4. I want to get some blue corduroy jeans but my wife says they're not very cool - I disagree as I think they're quite hip, so I might get them still anyway. What would others do? I generally like to be on trend.
  5. I'm getting the small loft at the back of my house converted so I can rent it out on Airbnb. The builder says it will cost ?65K if I pay him ?5K cash per week whilst he's doing the work, but that if 'I want to do it the other way' it will be more like ?114K! What does he mean by the 'other way? Also should I just give him a bundle of ?50s each week or should I count it out together with him?

Ok, yes, thanks for this - but can you specifically say where ED ends and PR starts then? That would be helpful for me. Thank you.
  7. Has anybody definitively defined the borders of ED yet? I want to know as I want to 'beat the bounds'on my daily dog walk so can develop a more nuanced sense of place.
  8. I can't wait to receive the Government leaflet so I can put it in the recycling. Somebody down the Gowlett told me there will be no more bubbles in champagne after Brexit.
  9. I was thinking to get a new one from B&Q to replace the old Victorian one - should I do that? Will it affect the house value?
  10. Sorry I forgot to say what I needed to do - there is a door to a room upstairs in my house that sometimes opens but other times won't budge - I presume the wood must be swelling or something. What should I do?
  11. I need to do something - can anyone recommend the best thing for it?
  12. I locked mine to the gas pipe next to the front door - it still got stolen - all that was left was the locked wheel.
  13. A Republic of East Dulwich? Elected second chamber - yes I like that - could have PR for that so there is fair representation of people's voting patterns. On the EU I'm in and out for ED.

  15. I presume everyone in ED will be voting to remain as there are no 'kippers' there.
  16. People in ED should be cycling like in the Netherlands instead of getting buses.

  18. Cherie Booth at Matrix Chambers.
  19. How much will the fees be in these 'Academy' schools?
  20. I've got a Yamaha Arius (?600) which is really good. It sounds good when playing and has the pedals as well.

Hi - come and join me at the Gowlett on a Friday evening - I'm always there then at the bar from 8pm onwards (glasses and clean shaven amongst a sea of beards).
  23. Well string would provide a good border reference point without having to get your phone out. I suggest blue string for Dulwich, yellow for ED and red for Nunhead. Could have green for Camberwell.
  24. What about putting differently colored strings from the lampposts to signify the borders? I like going to the Gowlett - am I correct in presuming that is still in the ED / PR area?
