  1. Has anyone decided on which pub for Christmas Eve yet? If so let me know.
  2. I?ve been! The selection is: 18/12 matured Caledonian cheddar, vintage reserve West Country crunchy cheddar, Brie de meaux, Gorgonzola DOP dolce, and Spanish manchego.

  4. I live in a 5-bed Victorian double fronter, so I don?t have any humidity problems associated with modern construction techniques.
  5. I didn?t get to do it - my wife said we had to go out with the kids instead.
  6. I think actually if you get Building Regs approval first it doesn't matter whether or not it's a load bearing wall as you will then have approval for the work so will be protected from any problems such as replacing a load bearer with a stud wall partition.

  8. Is it a load bearing wall? You can?t replace a load bearer with a stud wall.

Yes, a thick recycled brown paper bag - none of those pointy plastic cone bags. Come and seem me on Saturday - I'll knock a couple of quid off for you, so just ?6.
  10. It was called 'Summer Rites', the one day festival that was previously hosted in the park.

But they might have another > cows milk blue cheese. > > If you want British cheeses, you should go to the > Cheese Block. Are you sure it's just French cheese? The shop had a whiff of German efficiency last time I walked past.
  12. I know Motherland is set in North London, but doesn't it appear to be similar to what happens in ED? Julia's front arrangement is quite similar to my double fronted five-bedder on MG.
  13. Whikst I wait to open my new restaurant, I was thinking of opening an organic pop corn stall on Northcross Road - but can it can take two? I'll charge ?8 per bag and will use unrefined sugar and 'sal marina de las Salinas de Ibiza'.
  14. I courted my wife in Brockwell Park.
  15. That new cheese shop is scary - huge wheels of cheese and those big chopping blocks. Has anyone been in yet? If so do though they have Shropshire Blue?
  16. I just get my wife to go to Waitrose, then I watch Netflix whilst she?s out, so no need for Sainsbury?s.
  17. Apparently the school is quite innovative - they have class sizes of about 30 each organised into ?year? groups from the reception class onwards. The classes are led by teachers assisted by teaching assistants, with different lessons across the day, with regular break periods incorporated. It all sounds quite good to me, so if you can afford it I think you should consider it as a possibility.
  18. It?s ok if you burn kiln dried logs or coalite - seasoned wood or just coal are too smoky for ED though.
  19. I burn logs every day in my Little Wenlock log burner. I dry them off first in the Rayburn in the kitchen.
  20. When can I start wearing my Christmas jumper? It has a large knitted Christmas pudding on it - I got in the charity shop for ?2.50
  21. TheCat Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Bob Buzzard wins....how did this thread get to 27 > posts? No idea, but it?s a great debate. No one has told me what the fees are yet though - I presume they?re ?POA??
  22. Just the display uniforms on the mannequins in the reception area - you can glimpse them when walking past the LL entrance.
  23. My new Sri Lankan restaurant will be good. In the meantime Ganapati is the best.
  24. Are you sure? The display uniforms in the reception look very prep school style.
  25. What?s that new cheese shop like? Do they do Brie wheels?
