Can?t be mine - it?s a semi-detached, whereas I live in a double fronter.

Yes, everyone should have a home, I didn?t mean to boast I was just saying architects are an unnecessary extravagance when good builders can do all the actual work without needing any fancy drawings or the such like.

Bob, you sound like a > sophisticated type of chap, what wine do you think > we should serve? Maybe a Montrachet Grand Cru? I generally go for English wines any of the ones in Waitrose are fine and English sparkling for the main event.
  4. Just get some builders, I wouldn?t bother with an architect just for a house. I live in a 5-bed double fronter with a garage conversion, which I got the the builders to do. Architects and the such like just complicate things with all their drawings and ceiling beams and making effective use of spaces. Just call the builders and tell them to get on with it.

  6. Yes, I too have a Bosch washing machine. No tumble dryer though, I dry clothes on a maiden above the Rayburn in the kitchen.

Well done Bob. Clever manoeuvre that - > walking around the big yellow thing in order to > avoid tripping over it. It was difficult, let me tell you, because I had to keep an eye on my nephew as well, he?s that age when they just run ahead regardless.
  8. Just been making plans for Christmas with the family. Wife is working till late Christmas Eve then she?s back at work on 27th, so can?t go too far. This made me think about getting one of those massive salmons you see in a bag in the fish fridge at the supermarket, instead of queuing for 2 hours at WR on Christmas Eve for a Kelly Bronze turkey. Salmon or turkey - what would be best?
  9. I was going for my morning flat white with my brother and nephew today when I nearly tripped over one of the yellow bikes slung up against a low garden wall in Landcroft Road - it was only by walking around it that I managed to avert tripping over and injuring myself and probably having to go to King?s with a minor head injury and a fractured wrist.
  10. You can burn what you want. I normally burn kiln dried logs that I order from Shropshire (HETAS approved - which circumvents any smog regulations as they?re approved for burning).
  11. I was at Centraal station a couple of weeks ago and heard some people talking about moving to ED.
  12. I never leave East Dulwich. We have our summer holidays at The Fort in our caravan, so we?re never too far away.
  13. I've had no problems, it's all been completely normal.
  14. I freelance moderating / writing comments for @guardian
  15. Yes, I use it to rent out my annex - and have done so for the past few years - it's fine.

  17. Yes, we?ll oddly st the weekends he starts wearing jeans, stays mostly at home, and goes for a run round Dulwich Park, which is all as expected, so it?s just during the week when he?s oddly out all day (doing what I don?t know).
  18. Great - will they be doing organic pork medallions?
  19. Does anyone still go to The Bishop, and when?s the last time anyone actually from ED was in the EDT?
  20. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A mere 255 posts Bob. One for each new potential > business venture? Is that all? I?ve been looking at the empty shop on the end corner junction of NCR / LL - I think there may be an opportunity there.
  21. I live on MG - my neighbour mystifies me - he goes out most days at about 7.30am dressed fairly smartly, and then doesn?t come back till about 7 in the evening. What is he doing? He quickly mumbled something about ?the office? when I asked him recently. But I thought most people freelanced round here don?t they? That?s what I do anyway - drop the kids off, Cafe for a quick coffee, then freelance 10-12, lunch 12-1, then freelance 1-3, pick the kids up at 3.15, then go to the swings with the kids and chat to the other parents like me, then get the kids dinner and then wait for Mrs Bob to come back from her hospital shift at about 7, help her cook our dinner, watch Netflix or C4+1, then bed at 10:30. I think my neighbour has misunderstood something about what he should be doing on a day-to-day basis (and his house is smaller then mine).
  22. I go to The Castle on Fridays.
  23. What about me? Does anyone remember me? I'm here too.
  24. I could come and sort it out with my Fabbri over and under - please DM me if you see it again soon and I'll pop over (I only live round the corner in MELBOURNE GROVE).
  25. I went up the Wrekin about 3 weeks ago - lovely views all round, highly recommended and not too far either.
