Having experienced both school I can say either way is good for the nursery provision. Sadly Jessop has a big staff turn over so can't say anything about the current team but my son was very happy there.He was very well prepared for reception and had a very warm,friendly team that always put children well being as priority. They always made sure children could enjoy what they like most. If you ask for primary school place,hands up for Bessemer- outstanding school on every levels. Good luck with your choice.

Thinking of moving so would be very grateful if parents could share they experience with this school. I am watching the school for a long time and really like it...any bad/good experience I would be very grateful to hear. Looking to move my son who is in year 2.

First one 3 long days,very bad experience... Second time just over half an hour from examined-4 cm to see my lo...no gas and air as midvife wasn't ready yet...She kept saying:how come? 4 hours later we were back home. Good Luck!

My son learnt to ride his bike in Crystal Palace park.The grassy bit near the playground is perfect for learners,it's a very gentle slope.He was affraid of riding without his stabilisers on the pavement as he was convinced he can hurt himself badly when he falls.He felt very confident there because he knew it won't hurt much if he falls on the grass and for him it was a breaking point...It took him less than half an hour to learn and since then he wants to cycle too school every day :).

Worth checking with the school/s.My son is 3 at the end of September but will be starting the school nursery from October (in the school we had been offered a place they can start after they 3rd birthday as long as it is in the Autumn term).But I guess you might've missed the boat as you had to apply till the end of March...You still can apply for pre-school place and the list of local ones can be provide by Southwark FIS team.

Last year we were offered a school place that wasn't on my list and i didn't even know where it was(of course miles away from us:((). Before I made the decision either to accept or reject the place I went to see it...it wasn't that bad ,it had a good vibe so I've accepted the place with tears in my eyes...Then in May the school had the ofsted inspection and get outstanding. I know that we had been lucky. You might feel very disappointed now but my advice is heads up,go and check the school you were given and maybe in the end is not that bad as it looks now. The biggest movement in Lambeth was at the end of September lots of people were offered a place then in the schools of their choices so if you don't like the school you've been offered wait till then...Good luck! And also you can go on the waiting list in the school outside you borough.

My boys were at this age when they get they bunk bed.I get the short/small version. Probably they will outgrown out of it in the next few years but for now I am happ with my choice. It takes less space,seems cozy and not vey high(just over 5 ft).No accidents so far...

Thanks you for your advice and support.I ask the headteacher today...My son is in the nursery class in ours local school,that's why I feel like I really have to do anything in my power to keep him there...I am not sure how you can explain to 4 years old that he can't go to his local school anymore and stay with his friends and go to the school that is miles away from us... ??? I heard the same story that you have to accept the place in order to be on the waiting list...The problem for us is that we are Lambeth residents...On they website says that you are automatically on the waiting list,the letter we received says we have to call ... to be on the waiting list.I call them yesterday but without any luck...I heard that the team is far from being professional and helpful...

We have been refused a place at our local school...How do I find out where we are on the waiting list and what was the distance to be accepted?We were probably few meters to far as a boy 4 houses from us get the place. We are in Lambeth and the school admissions team doesn't take phone calls...(I've just heard to many bad stories about them :()

I really liked Boots one when we used paper ones but I would also second fleece liners,more eco friendly and great for bums!

They all have very long waiting list because the baby rooms tend to be for 6-12 children max so you might find it very difficult to get a place :(I am not sure when you need your place but you can try Gumboots as I think they will have a baby room after the refurbishment.Pesonally I also think that is better for the babies to be in a smaller group like childminder or nanny share.

I have few :-$ woven wrap around slings.I found them brilliant even with my very heavy boy.I found stretchy not as supportive as woven slings...I am happy for you to come around and try them on.It is not so complicated as it looks to put them on :).I have Didymos and Ellevill zara at the moment >:D

Safety First Duodeal tandem looks very long to me and I guess will be awkward to take corners etc.We bought P&T for ours boys and I love it even that I have used it 3 times for both of them,baby no 2 is full time in sling,but I use it for my toddler.Is easy to push,fits easily on the bus...My neighbour had a very similar(maybe even these same) buggy and few days ago I saw her pushing brand new,shiny P&T.So I wouldn't risk buying SFD if I will have money for P&T.I know they are pricey but they are worth every penny and are made to last.

I heard it's very good from few mums. Samstopit it is free with creche provided.

Thank for that thread!!!I have similar problem with my breastfeeding and felt very down yesterday when my GP told me to stop breastfeeding!!!He made me feel like I am lunatic or something that I still carry on...

Brockwell Park One o'clock club.Entry is only 1 ? and plenty to do for 2 years old and a baby.There is also lots of free activities in the children centers.Just call the council or check online the nearest one to you.Call them and they will send you the information pack.There is also lovely dancing group at St.Barnaby's church every Wednesday(I am not sure if it started after the holiday break)for toddlers.

Ring sling or pouch but they are not really recommended for newborns...So I am affraid it will have to be stretchy wrap arounds to start with...
