  6. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Looking for nice small (2 bed cottage) ideally near the sea for parents and 2 yr old toddler. Have been looking at the following http://www.gitcombe.co.uk/ look very nice but are ??? and some reviews complain about the 'upside down' houses been not very soundproof (thinking about toddler sleeping) anyone been? Or these http://www.widmouthfarmcottages.co.uk/index.htm or here http://www.theoldehouse.co.uk/ sadly the much recommended Bosinver farm is fully booked : ( any help/tips appreciated Susan
  7. Watching this thread with interest, 2yr 8month boy has shown no inclination what so ever to want to leave his cot, climbing over the bars would be far too energetic (thankfully its a cotbed up to age 5yrs). I may wait until he starts school!

  11. I have baby jogger muff, they are very lightweight and do slip down all the time so if you find something better go for it.

  14. Brining up this subject again - and like the original post I am not looking to debate the pros/cons of State v Private. My partner and I would be very very happy if we got into a local primary but sadly we may fall into one of EDs 'black holes' when it comes to distance from schools. Our nearest is 350 meters away, last years entry for non sibling was 191m! As such and as a last option we are wondering if we should investigate the fee-paying route and I was looking for feedback from parents here as too which schools they would recommend? when do we need to register by (our son is just over 2)? is it too late for some (gulp)? Any help and advice greatly appreciated Thanks Susan

  21. SunLover what age is your LO - wondering if/when I should start weaning my son of his beloved bottle morning and night - he is nearly 2 and drinks it in about 60 seconds!
  22. Have to say I am with the previous poster on this. The Bee Plus was a fantastic buggy for my son for the first year, small, nippy, great on buses and in our narrow hallway,,after about 16 months I found the straps increasingly tricky to manage and now at 22 months my son (who is an average size for his age) cannot fit in the buggy with his winter coat on. Which is not good in this weather. I have extended the back and seat, moved the straps to the highest level but he often still has the crotch strap digging into him. The other problem with the buggy is if it rains you have to put the hood the whole way down before you can put on the rain cover (again fine for the first 16-18 mths) but after that show me a toddler who is going to be happy not been able to see where their going?! A great buggy for town for the first 1-2 yrs at most (after that if you lived in a dry country).....total cost of nearly ?600 with all the required additions I would have to seriously consider before I bought again.
