  1. Don't eat the nuts, just pocket them (do their brain in) and give them to a squirrel.
  2. The are taking the Pee !! I had a development at the bottom of the garden, they wanted commandier/ruin to several foot of my garden to erect scaffold, told them NO, they have no right to be in my garden and that was that.
  3. Jeremy. Some people have parking permits for their work in the borough, not that they reside in the borough.
  4. I used to have a cat that would launch into a frenzied attack on anything nearby at the sound of bagpipes !! (and mothers singing !!!)
  5. Yep keep your bush off the pavement, if it overhangs your boundary and is hazardous the council can put an enforcement notice on it.
  6. Yep I have the wheat field beneath the bird feeder too !! I thought it would be very nice to make my own REAL xmas door wreaths. I wound lots of ivy round garden wire, attached fir, berries, walnuts pinecones etc THE SQUIRREL NICKED IT !!!
  7. Chrome books are rubbish. We bought a mac book air its quick to open and use and has none of the conflicts and glitches we suffered with windows. NOW had to buy a 2nd laptop with a windows operating system to go with sat nav, car diagnostic system, other gadget stuff ... that only compatible with windows. Heard of lots of problems with chrome, from not connecting, not enough storage etc.
  8. Diane Abbott ... no thanks !
  9. Wouldn't bother, get another normal coffee machine that uses grounds and froths your milk. else you are stuck with Nespresso ... what else.
  10. looks like cherry to me. Could be in bird droppings. if they are cherry stone seedlings you could probably pull/dig them up with not to much trouble. I get hazelnut seedlings planted by a squirrel !!
  11. Its a good idea. We were informed in a leaflet with recycling advice. Stops out of borough people and trades .... parking permit not good enough, you could still not be a resident.
  12. Chocolate Teapot anyone. I am sure someone must have all those items to offer for sale here somewhere. Some of the tat ... go to the charity or tip people !!
  13. still true. So put it in a bag or not and leave it in the kerb. They have to collect within 24 hours.
  14. I have dash cams fitted back and front, they come on with the ignition. I also have a battery voltage protector installed so they can be left on if I am in a vulnerable location, whilst leaving enough battery to start the car.
  15. Stick them in the blue bin and let them sort it out.
  16. Well you were lucky !!!! I found a frog with no eyes, took him home and made him a safe enclosure with a small pond and fed him every night with food (creepy crawlies) from the reptile shop I did this for ages, until one day he wasn't there anymore.
  17. Pictures please. I had to have a lilac tree removed, it was sprouting up under the patio lifting the stones up, and shooting up in the greenhouse and in the flower borders. Some plants do this when they are pruned, sending out shoots and suckers - so the more you try and keep it trimmed, the worse the shooting problem is. Some gardeners recommend putting in a barrier (obstacle or membrane) when the plants likely to do this are planted. Thanks.
  18. Thats news to me. I vaccinate my animals every year. Two of my vets don't think a three year gap is fine, they send reminders warning of the perils of missed vaccinations, and having to start again with the 1st Jab and the 2nd a month later etc. Due to family ill health a cat missed its jabs by a month and ended up with cat-flu, so after it suffered intensive care, force feeding it etc, I wouldn't risk missing their jabs again. Thanks.
  19. Don't believe in ghosts. Think of all the people that ever lived, there would be more ghosts and we would all see one everyday.
  20. Desmond ???
  21. REALLY ???
  22. Hello. I have this old photo of Alan the milkman as a little boy and his father in a pre-war Nunhead Grove before the garden railings were taken for the war effort !! Thanks.
