  1. Think very local residents should be careful what they wish for. LL starting to look pretty run down in some places now - empty units etc.
  2. Admittedly read it v quickly, but large part of report seems to focus on the car park going. Have lived here for many years, including driving to LL, and honestly can say I don't know where the car park even is. Plus, didn't local residents vote against the CPZ?
  3. Whatever you do, I think you've got to get rid of the carpet/underlay.
  4. OP is a windup. First time poster?! Plex is great.
  5. Absolutely agree. 60%+ not bad at all. It's all in the context anyway.
  6. Provisional until jan but unlikely to change much - remarks may move a few grades up, these usually known in next few weeks.
  7. That Kingsdale release is very coy on the overall 5+EM figure (still currently the main one used). It says 'approximately 2 out of 3 students' reached this benchmark. Looking at the eng and maths figures both at 70%, I would guess 60-65% overall. They should be clearer with this.
  8. Wapsbourne Manor. Also known as WOWO. Highly recommend.
  9. I think the only response to someone saying 'I'm going to write about you on the EDF' is to quite literally piss yourself laughing. These were grown men, you say?!
  10. Most start quite quickly - so far too early unless you know a specific person with upcoming availability. Start looking & advertising from November-ish.
  11. It's ok but not ideal longterm. Better to just shut the lid down and let it go to sleep (uses v little battery life).
  12. Galaxy is a big car but with that much luggage and a sixth seat, you would be pushing it. I would say no though with a squeeze you may just manage it. If you didn't need a sixth seat up then yes. Also depends how big the suitcases are. I am assuming they are adult-sized and proper suitcases rather than soft holdalls. You may need a roofbox or even a minibus (not joking). Not many cars are significantly bigger than a galaxy. Alternatively you could make people v uncomfortable by putting luggage on feet/laps? Or not use the sixth seat which would save a lot of luggage space but prob illegal with the baby.
  13. > > Sadly Southwakr Council refused the nursery due to > loss of office space that allows employment but > granted permission for a shop which would employ > less than a nurery. At appeal we managed to get > the nursery granted permission. James, I don't quite follow this. Are you saying that the permission has changed again, so quickly (from retail to nursery). Or that it has now has 2 permissions - retail and childcare? (
  14. State schools = 12 weeks holiday pa. Most state schools finish somewhere between 3.10-3.30.
  15. Agree with Penguin68's points. LL looking tattier by the day.
  16. Only complaint is that the adventure playground (which is very impressive) is closed on a Sunday. Why close a leisure facility on a Sunday? Genuine question, don't see any other Southwark facilities closed on a Sunday eg. Leisure centes, recycling centre etc.
  17. I've worked out who local teacher is (it wasn't difficult). I'm not going to post it as I don't think he really wanted to risk his livelihood over a mildly humorous class-War dig. Stupid thing to do though. My kids pretty much fit the dirty middle-class definition.
  18. Edited as I have now read the Green and Blue thread...

Is it the same teenager you took to Santa's Grotto? C'mon, this is embarrassing. If its good enough the price will be acceptable. Lots of people on here are telling you it's not.
  20. Yes they came to my house on Friday. They said that they 'shouldn't mention it in front of the children' but was I aware that there have been a number of break ins. I had shut the door before they mentioned the survey. He was really trying to get me to cry about living in London.
  21. Le Chandelier is a nightmare for parents of young kids. Always thought it bizarre that they opened in (what felt like) the middle of ED's baby boom.
  22. Great programme. Loved it. Looking forward to Reverdy Road!
  23. Another first time poster? What a coincidence! Keeps the thread alive though, eh?
  24. Lucky you were able to create a brand new persona just to complain publicly about Kingsdale.
  25. Have you pushed the round silver button in that is in the middle of the wheel as you look at it ( where a car hubcap is)? This releases a catch and you pull the wheel off as you hold it in (if your p&t is like mine)
