East Dulwich Dental Care on Forest Hill Road always used to charge ?1 card fee regardless of the amount. It always pissed me off no end and I was just waiting for the law to come into effect so I could smugly refuse to pay it, only they'd already stopped charging it by the time I went in. Doh!

I feel proper lucky to have this in my neighbourhood - truly uplifting and beautifully spirited festival and if I could have those tunes playing in my backyard every weekend i?d never leave. You could always move to Swindon where souls go to die.

Haha, was totally thinking the same thing lol - hadn't crossed my mind he was perverted, sounds like good old fashioned cruising to me, how old school. Best just ignored, chances are if you're not interested he won't be either. -

No Chief. And I have to agree with the others, this complaint is so last season we got over it years ago, mainly cause it makes one sound old and a lot victor Meldrew-esque.

Far from it for me to be the world's greatest party pooper; I too like a good knees up once in a while, but does anyone else think the great exhibition is pushing it's luck on the old decibel metre as it encroaches upon 10pm onwards on Friday/Saturday night? I mean jeez louise, it's a quiet neighbourly road not bloody clapham high street. And don't get me started on the Blackpool illuminations strung all over it like a cheap night out at butlins. ughhh

No. At least it shouldn't be. It's a lazy and unintelligent argument.

Last two times I went to the EPH their damn ticket machine was STILL on the blink, and I missed the start of my film queueing for a veritable age. I'd pay them more than the London living if they fixed that irritant *rolls-eyes*

Sods law, after all the talk of the place this week I was planning to finally give it a try on Tuesday and again tonight, cest a vie.... good job I can never get enough of that weirdly trippy drippy hypnotic oil lamp thing in East Dulwich Tandoori. -
I could be being completely stupid, but in term of pure logic I really don't see how it follows that you shouldn't support the rights of one establishment (especially one who's workers have actively brought it to the public's attention) because there are others that may not be doing the same? Why does it follow that staff at the Picture House shouldn't be supported because the staff at Peckham plex may not be getting the same deal. Weird. Honest question...

You don't think we can assume that people (especially the press, Helen Hayes MP, Mayor Sadiq Khan to name a few of the local heavy weigh supporters, have done their homework prior to supporting the boycott? I don't know exactly how I feel about the London Living Wage, but I do know a few things: London is expensive, so it can't hurt to have it. If I was 18 and living at home paying no rent, it wouldn't be from choice. And lastly that I can't help but respect any workers who get together and stand up for themselves. I don't know the ethics behind Peckham Plex, but I do now know the ethics behind Cineworld, so, you make your choice, simples.

Yeah, I spotted that too, perhaps updating their website to the factually correct figures might be a good start for Picturehouse.

The sign has gone back up on the front of the Ritzy, this time calling for a complete boycott of all Picturehouse and Cineworld Cinemas, and backed by our local MP, Helen Hayes. Here are the details: That this House shares the concerns of the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union on the treatment of staff by Cineworld Cinemas; is concerned that Cineworld Cinemas staff do not all receive the Living Wage, as set by the Living Wage Foundation, company maternity or paternity pay, or company sick pay, despite Cineworld Cinemas reporting a post-tax profit of ?83.8 million in 2015; is further concerned about lack of competition in the cinema industry following Cineworld Cinemas? acquisition of Empire Cinemas Ltd; and calls for Cineworld Cinemas to increase investment in worker welfare and pay all picturehouse staff the Living Wage, as set by the Living Wage Foundation. Will you be boycotting East Dulwich Picturehouse? Sad really, because for a cinema that already seldom looks to be bursting at the seams, it would be exceedingly annoying if we all boycotted ED cinema and it ceased to be a viable Picturehouse location. Hope they sort it out soon.

Mine is 4.65, and I'm sure that's largely due to every so often times I've send work colleagues, friends and drunken spouses home on my account. Note to self....

Snapped a few pics of it on Crystal Palace Road, waiting patiently for traffic. Too cute. Welcome to the future! -
Just FYI, I go to East Dulwich Dental Care and my NHS dentist is Bunmi and she is amazing, but even they will refer you to a specialist private clinic for root canal. They referred me to Birbeck Dentistry in Sidcup, I was confused at first why they would refer me, but after the A class treatment with a dentist who lectures in it, well it was the best ?725 I've ever spent, and no reoccurring issues. Yes ?725!!! Ouch, but so worth it.
