That's really bad news indeed. The Gowlett has long been one of the finest aspects of living around here - all credit to Johnny and his team. I have spent many a great time spent in there. Totally gutted.

Sorry to hear about that mcj_1985. Not a nice thing to happen to anyone. Glad that you're ok. Surely it's the same moped gang who are out often in these parts? I'm sure it's not straightforward and I have no direct experience of this sort of thing, but given the regularity they're around, and the same methods often used, on the very same streets, I'm surprised it's seemingly so tricky for the authorities (police) to work out who they are and to get on top of them. I guess I echo what "Robert Poste's Child" said above. This small group of people is menacing the neighbourhood and there doesn't appear to be any willingness to clamp down on it.

That is sad news. Ingrid worked very hard on bringing so much great street art to our part of London. She was someone who made a very positive difference. Condolences to the family.

I just had a trap (pop-up sink plug) replaced and some bath sealant done by Aria and his brother. They seem to have done a decent job, were on time, and were pretty tidy.

The same thing happened to my car in Marsden Road at some point over the last couple of days. Nothing of any real value was there to be taken, thankfully. I just wanted to warn anyone else in the area to be extra careful.

Does anyone know of a local running or cycling club that includes kids (for an 8yr-old)?
