yes thanks @personannrose not close enough for ppl who find walking difficult
-
@malumbu yes, your right - many issues for ppl with disablities. what suits one mayh may not work for another. but blue badge holders need parking spaces that suit there needs
-
thanks @march46 before junction closed, more parking generally (eg on calton, court lane, etc) . with new design, & because junction closed to blue badge holders, v important that disabled parking in right place so ppl with disabilties do not have to walk far. all that money on redesign
-
design should focus on needs of all. anwser is not, well stay at home then
-
pls check. no parking right outside chemist . nearest disabled spaces outisde megans (chemist stopped delivering to evceryone after junction clsoed - have tehy started again?) & gilkes/calton - if hard for you to wlak (likely if have blue badge), these spaces long way from chemist. not kind. not fair
-
thanks @march46 doesnt give parking in dv near to chemist if you find walking difficult
-
pls help if you can too.
-
no i dont know why. your right. its very odd. also unkind and uncaring @Earl Aelfheah just a thought but council seems to listen to some not others. might you ask for this? no idea if that wd work but worth a try . pls help if you can
-
well less parking for every one now near chemist. before junction closed there were more near shops (eg in calton &court lane) . and if blue badge holder (cant drive through, dont want long jouney round in traffic )must choose disabled parking space 1 side or the other - and you likely want 1 near chemist . whcih theyre not bad planning. no i dont know why. your right. its very odd. also unkind and uncaring
-
long way from disabled parking spaces to chemist . not easy if walking is hard. people have asked for disabled parking at end of court lane. nothing happned. makes no sense
-
pls check parking for dv shops for those with disabilites. eg if east of junction none at end of court lane just bike racks & escooter bay. nnot easy seperate point but clash pedestrins/cyhles (not c;;ear who jas right of way) makes it feel unsafe if your walking
-
not community hub for all hard to shop if you cant walk or wheel
-
many kinds of disability ,some hidden some cannot walk or wheel this space could have been designed for all inc. blue badge holders but it wasnt
-
its ok for you to like it its also ok for others to say that stopping blue badge holders coming through is unfair
-
just because time passed doesnt make it fair for people with disabilities
-
thanks for pics @archiecarlos now need pics of all the extra traffic on duliwch village, east duliwch grove, lordship lane, south cicular and blue badge holders stuck in it because cant go through "new space"

Crossroads roadworks - EDG/Dulwich V/RP Hill etc
Bicknell replied to ed_pete's topic in Roads & Transport
think to make 2 lanes going north, so that traffic can turn R when others go straight on. means that 1 lane goiing south will be made narrower. not sure how tghat will work bus stop outside dv north closed -
think better to look at data big diffrence in figures
-
here is southwark report London Borough of Southwark Air Quality annual status report 2023 figures diffrent from figures they gave before for 2023 sdt 161 is 8 east dulich grove (near junction with lordship). report says 2023 figure 25.3 but in 2023 council said figure was 36 LTN+Air+Quality+2023.pdf anyone work this out? Same with sdt 98 (south circular/underhill) – southark said was 40 in 2023 - now says 29.8
-
source/link for data, pls @Earl Aelfheah there used to be a dulwich data dashboard. but not on council website now
-

Bicknell replied to tedfudge's topic in Roads & Transport

Bicknell replied to tedfudge's topic in Roads & Transport
cyclists coming down hill eg calton ave etc build up speed this thread about speed limit for all transport. seeing all the wood, and all the trees -
its one thing to close roads with support from residents and businesses . another to force it on people who dont want it.
