Can I add my voice here - Tigersharks is a much loved and well supported thriving club of 27 years it’s no wonder it’s generating such strong feelings. - like many others my children swim with the club and their is no other club that I’m aware of like it. It’s unique in that beginners to advanced swimmers all have a place there. And it’s simple the only place that you don’t just have to sit for an hour watching your children swim but can swim yourself too. I am not sure what bearing vat and charitable status have on the schools decision making but in my view this absolutely makes for bad press for Alleyns. This is not behaviour I would think represents the values the of school as expressed to parents of current or future alumni.

Hi Can I just add my voice here - I have been a swimmer with tiger sharks off and on for 20 years - my daughters have learnt to swim there. It's a unique club where you can swim in parallel with your children. they cater for beginner to advanced. Its friendly and inclusive and just a fantastic community club. its weathered the storms of the Alleyn's pool refurbishment and COVID and had to re-grow as a club each time and has flourished just because of its unique offer. I cannot think of another place where I can train as I did tonight at the same time as my daughter swims and improves. Please can we band together to try and to save this long running south London club that has been run by two wonderful people for so long - I can't even think about the lost opportunities for young coaches as you often see swimmers graduate to teaching the younger ones over time. BTW Alleyn's you might want to think how this looks to this community many of whom at least know current or potential alumni Anyway rant over please lets save this club

Just another post about Tony we must have the oldest boiler in London he has done everything to keep it going including finding a spare part they don't even make anymore. He is knowledgeable friendly totally ethical and honest almost to his own detriment. An absolute pleasure to recommend him. He has now been our plumber for almost ten years so much so the children ask if Tony will be fixing the tap/sink/boiler or whatever if we have an issue - I know I have posted on here before and I have recommended him to so many friends and family. Just going to add to this thread again ! Tony has just saved us thousands - we had a problem with our boiler and lost hot water and pressure as we have free emergency call out with our bank we used this service they came and were on the face of it extremely professional - advised that the boiler was past it and irreparable or at least ?1400 in parts . we gave Tony a ring as although happy to use the free plumber from the bank to get us up and running in an emergency we would never get any actual work done by anyone else Long story short he popped round at very short notice sorted the problem first go with just two new parts and its now running perfectly. Honestly can't recommend Tony enough super knowledgeable such a lovely person great with our children and totally honest ONLY FLUES and HOSES is the website phone number is 07734956340

We first met him when he installed some cast iron radiators from Casa on Bellenden road as their recommended installer. I wanted to stay in and paint behind the radiators as he installed them and I was struck by his level of professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail. The radiators literally look as good now as when installed. (I would also recommend Casa). At the time he was working in the commercial sector only doing the odd domestic job at the weekend and evenings - we pestered him and he became our plumber because he was too nice to say no whenever we needed him. Since then he has helped with lots of things including a bathroom we were fitting out on the cheap. He worked around other trades with no issues and frankly giving us some really helpful advice. When our downstairs neighbours suspected damp might be from our flat he helped us get to the bottom of it and managed to source a camera to look between the floorboards. Things I would say - he is friendly, professional, a total gentleman ( important for us as we are often in and around with the kids when he has been working) he is always very good value for money and has saved us loads and looks for the right solution not the easiest or most expensive. One last example we had a toilet ordered from Bells in East Dulwich Kitchens and bathrooms who let us down badly sending toilet with no seat and the seat was an odd fit. So we were stuck waiting for 3 months waiting for a seat that would fit (its a long story of terrible customer service from Bells) - however Tony GAVE use a free new toilet seat he had in the van to tide us over. I am frankly writing this because I want his new venture to be a success I would happily recommend him to anyone.
