Hi, We had major works done on our home in 2011/2012. It took less than 3 weeks to find a house which was in Upper Norwood. However, I would suggest looking now, and like a member suggested agree on a flexible contract as not to tie yourself in should the works be completed earlier. Take good steps in ensuring both properties and contents are fully covered by insurance. Also keep a check on your builders and that they are working to plan. Get a surveyor if you can to check that your repairs fit building standards etc. Good luck
