  1. Singers needed! Do you have a handle on Handel? Local theatre school South London Youth Theatre is fast approaching a milestone, our 50th EVER production in our 15th Anniversary year! 2010-2025, 15 years of nurturing talent! To celebrate this, we are performing the epic play CORAM BOY with a cast of 48 teenagers, performing on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March at St Johns the Evangelist, Upper Norwood, SE19 2RX. The climax to the play is a joyful rendition of Handel's HALLELUJAH CHORUS. Do you know or love the Hallelujah Chorus? Or are you part of a choir who has mastered the piece? Or would you just love to have a jolly good sight-sing and to be a part of the SLYT performance? If the answer is YES and you are willing to stand and sing with us at the end of play, we would love to invite you to watch any or all 3 of the performances as our guest! If you or anybody that you know-who-knows the piece would like a seat and you can confidently contribute to the Hallelujah Chorus at performances on Friday 21st at 7.30pm or Saturday 22nd at 2.30pm and 7.30pm then we would love to hear from you! Please e-mail Spencer James: [email protected] to express your interest! www.slyt.co.uk

  4. If like me, you are hell bent on getting fit and changing your body type/shape, but cannot bare the thought of going to a gym two or three times a week, then I have found the solution! His name is Tom Lynas and he is an East Dulwich resident who also runs his classes in East Dulwich. Tom's passion for Fitness and training is obvious and I've seen great results without stepping inside the gym, which I find really boring. He is always looking for new ways to make our sessions more fun and more challenging and its good fun seeing what he rocks up with on a weekly basis to help me get into shape! Sometimes its the standard kettle bells, but other times there could be a giant tyre, a rope, a pole, and the list goes on... I found Tom after attending his METAFIT class on Monday nights from 7.30pm or 8.10pm at the Dulwich Constitutional Hall on East Dulwich Grove. Another great class! He also runs a class called Bear Drills on Thursday nights, but I haven't got along to that yet! I really struggled to find a PT that wasn't affiliated to a gym, and therefore attracting a membership fee etc on top of session fees, so I hope this little endorsement might help a few others who are in the same boat as me!
