Thanks for the suggestions everyone and sorry for taking so long to respond. I went to the dry cleaners next to the post office, as suggested on here. My watch now tells the correct time all day instead of just twice a day!

Parking around the current delivery office is very easy, both for RM vans and staff cars. There will be nowhere for staff to park if the move to Peckham goes ahead. Most staff do not live locally. -
I peered through the window of Firefly today. Looks like they will be selling wood burning stoves.

It's on the opposite side of Strikers Road to the old car park. Not far away, but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. -
I hope Firefly at 325 Underhill are successful. Every business that has traded there only lasts a short time.

Hi Alan Medic The building on the corner of Crystal Palace Road and Upland Road was the East Dulwich Police station before the one in Lordship Lane was built. The police continued to use it as offices until recently.

Hi Trinidad I was wondering that myself. If part of the increase is 2 per cent and the rest 1.5 per cent, the total increase is less than 2 per cent. Not 4.2 or am I missing something? -

Hi Ranata and Cass There was a thread on here a while ago which I started but I can't find it now. There was a planning application to build a supermarket and several flats above on the site where the vets, estate agent and barbers are currently. The planning application was withdrawn but will probably be revised and resubmitted. That corner needs improving, but I felt that it was an overdevelopment of the site.

Sorry to disagree but there are loads of general waste bins around the streets and some of them are very close to the dog bins. I'm not surprised if the council are doing away with the dog bins, some of them rarely get emptied anyway.

The letter says the road is going to be closed, but it doesn't give alternative routes. I suspect one side of the road will remain open while they work on the other and there will be temporary traffic lights controlling the flow.

Have had a leaflet from Southwark Highways through my door. Peckham Rye will be resurfaced between St. Aidens Road and Barry Road on 17th & 18th January from 08.00 to 17.00 hours. Probably best to find another route if possible.

Hi BingoBongo. We used both baths when I was at school. Also the first class baths had a removable floor so in the winter the pool could be covered and used for dances, Christmas fairs etc. I remember being a spectator and sitting up in the lovely balcony which is no longer used. I've always lived in Se22 but I can't remember when it was filled in. -

Unfortunately some years ago the first class baths were replaced with a fitness centre. The smaller second class pool is now the only pool. It would have been better in my opinion to have filled in the second class pool and kept the much nicer first class pool with its lovely viewing gallery.
